I spent a very nice few days at the Alpers' luxury B&B.
Breakfasts included the works - bacon, eggs, mushrooms. Fresh croissants. Also novel fruit salads - blueberries, avocado, mango. After days spent exploring the beautiful Coromandel region, what a pleasure to return for a drink and some nibbles - artisan cheeses, smoked salmon. If you want to treat yourself - sample Anne-Marie's and Hans' hospitality at Within the Bays.

We had 2 days at ‘Within The Bays’. The B&B experience that Annemarie and Hans offer is second to none. 
Their beautiful house, with its great views, open plan layout and fascinating decor is a wonderful place. The bedroom was spotless, with a dedicated bathroom.  
Annemarie and Hans are a really great couple, very friendly, engaging and knowledgeable on many things NZ, both locally and country-wide. Additionally, we really enjoyed hearing about their history, so much of which is bound up in the various items in their house. We had a lot of laughs together!
As others have mentioned, the breakfasts were excellent, and they were adjusted to meet our dietary restrictions. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. 
Overall, this is a really great B&B experience, offered by a lovely, engaging couple who share their time and house in a very welcoming way.

Where to begin, well here you will be greeted by Hans and Annemarie, two amazing hospitable hosts who will make your stay extra special. It's what you would call home away from home with extra attention. Clean very comfortable accommodation with excellent facilities all pristine clean and inworking order, quality. Your hosts will feed you well (much home grown organic) and afford you awesome refreshments.  The conversations flow freely and knowledge bountiful. Helpful you bet, trips arranged and booked in advance if you wish, nothing is an issue, every detail catered for. My wife Debbie and I cannot speak more highly of. Hans and Annemarie are your hosts, make your next stay in the Coromandel here, you wont regret it.  Within The Bays Whitianga.

We had a wonderful stay at Within the Bays. Hans and Annemarie are excellent hosts, providing all the advice, refreshments, and conversation we could wish for. The room was spotless and comfortable, and Annemarie's breakfasts were all we could wish for. The house is beautifully situated overlooking the bay, a short drive into town for dinner. Definitely a highlight of our trip.

Anne Marie and Hans have immediately made us feel welcome and comfortable. Their superb house overviewing various bays offered us a wonderful place to rest after a fairly long drive. The rooms are very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The landscape around is magnificent and so peacefull.
 Hans and Annemarie are real chefs and they cook delicious breakfasts, with homemade jams and rolls which contribute to make of this stay an unforgettable one.

There aren't enough superlatives in my Anglo-Dutch dictionary to do justice to Within the Bays.  Not so much a B&B more like staying with old friends; nothing is too much trouble and Annemarie & Hans have an almost encyclopedic knowledge of the area and most of the rest of NZ as well.  Home made goodies galore - the croissants, jam and beer were all excellent. 

We had a lovely stay here. Annemarie could not have been more helpful or kind. Beautiful house and view. We had 2 double rooms with our shared bathroom. The rooms were lovely, spotless, with all little  bathroom luxurious supplied, plus nibbles and drinks on arrival and coming in after eating out ,including homemade biscuits ( yummy)

If I could give this B&B more stars, I would! We cannot say enough about the wonderful hospitality of Hans and Annemarie. Their home is lovely and their company is even better. They offer the best suggestions of things to see and do, make you feel very comfortable in their home and provide mouth watering homemade croissants in the morning. Seriously, what could be better? If you are going to visit Whitianga you must stay here! You may even learn a few things while you stay ;)

We had the greatest expérience at that b&b: extremely clean rooms with a beautiful view of the bays. The owners AnnaMarie and Hans are very nice people that will make your stay an experience very special! They are like members of your family that you enjoy visiting! Wonderfull b&b and hosts

Annemarie and Hans were really welcoming hosts in their lovely home with its spectacular views.
We stayed for 2 nights and the delicious breakfast was a real treat, including Hans' homemade preserves, especially when the weather allowed us to eat outside. 
They provided really helpful information about where to eat in Whitianga and where to visit during our stay.
