Rivera del Rio Boutique Hotel

Since it was our first time to PV, we fully intended to “hotel hop” during our 5 day stay, but that quickly changed once we realized the gem that is Rivera Del Rio! From the moment we checked in with our luggage, Javier made sure we were comfortable, gave us cold towels, a refreshing drink and salsa as we went over our paperwork. He then took us on a tour of the boutique, offered us two drink tickets for the rooftop pool and bar, which we used as soon as we dropped off our luggage. Jesus at the bar is wonderful! He makes killer margaritas and mojitos! He’s so great to talk to, his conversations were awesome! He told us about the area and recommended a lot of restaurants to check out. Back to Javier and the front desk, they were so willing to help book an excursion for us, and even though circumstances arose where we couldn’t go, they even coordinated getting our refund from the tour company, which was greatly appreciated. We stayed in the Candelaria suite and it was so great! We loved our own private terrace and the pool that was just outside of our room. Having a full-size fridge, sink and microwave was perfect for our bringing back home our leftovers from the wonderful restaurants. We felt extremely safe in the area and it was just far enough away from the malecon to walk, but not hear the loud bars at night. We truly felt like it was our home away from home!
