This hotel offers basic accommodation, with a pretty roof garden, at a good price, but nothing more.  That's fine, but travelers should be aware of a few things:1.  The hotel only accepts cash.  Make sure that you have sufficient Mexican currency to pay for your entire stay at check-in.2.  The front door is kept locked at all times from the outside (a pain in the neck) and the inside (a fire hazard).  The receptionist unlocks it for you -- if someone is at the reception desk, which is not staffed full time nor late at night.3. The airport transportation offered in the listing is not free.  They quoted me 500 pesos for a round trip.  I declined, and took an airport taxi for 200 pesos to the hotel, and a city taxi for 150 pesos back to the airport.4.  There was no coffee maker nor iron in the room, nor shampoo, despite being described in the listing.  I might have received those if I had asked, but they were not provided in the room despite what the listing said.The receptionist kindly gave me a snack tray of fruit, a sweet roll, and bottle of water.If street noise bothers you, this may not be the place for you, by the way.So, it's okay, but not great.  Basic accommodation.

Decent basic accommodation but nothing more.

A good place to relax has a place to cook for an extra fee, it is very close to the center, you can walk to the central park, the hotel is a bit old but, for the price, the quality is excellent, the staff very friendly.

The hotel is simple but clean and cozy. The staff is very friendly and available. The nicest are the rooms on the top floor, with large windows from where you can see the mountains. On the roof there are amps and shade to relax! The prices are good and it is in the center, opposite one of the few good restaurants in the area: the tinajas! recommended for a quiet and classic dining system.

Really nice and cheap place. Much better than any other in the town. Clean, spacious, included breakfast.
The older lady was really nice and helpful, girls who served us breakfast in the morning were a bit too slow and sleepy.

Palenque was a stopover because we wanted to go to the ruins and Blue Water Falls.It was one of the cheapest lodgings during Holy Week!It was all full!a room for 6, when we were 3, we cost $2470 and it was only for 2 nights.No breakfast included.If we wanted air conditioning we had to pay $100 more!!a disaster!the bathrooms weren't so clean and the old sweatpants.nothing recommended.

I stayed here on my own because all of the backpackers were full, it was actually quite nice. I had the rooftop suite to myself, it had air con and a tv and was sufficiently comfortable. The lady does not speak much English but I spoke enough Spanish and she enough English for us to communicate just fine. 

Not a bad little place

You get what you pay for here, the room was very well air conditioned, the staff were friendly and the room was adequate. 

We had ants coming up and down the ceiling but they weren't bothering us so I'm easy. 

The relaxation and views from the top are pretty damn nice.

Cheap, but it shows. 

My traveling buddy and I ended up here in our search of a cheap room in Palenque. The room was very clean and nice and only 200 pesos for us both.  Upon checking in, I asked an older lady who works there with my limited Spanish if breakfast is included. She said yes and listed items that they serve. I understand more than I can speak and there wasn't any doubt in my mind that she said "si, incluido".  In the morning, we went down to the kitchen and ordered whatever they were offering, eggs, hot cakes, coffee and tea.  We exchanged a few pleasantries and that was all.  After finishing our breakfast, we went up to our room to get our bags and check out. When we returned downstairs, the woman in charge there (different from the one who checked us in) presented us with a bill for 153 pesos!  We explained (again, in limited Spanish) that the older lady who checked us in from the night before told us that the breakfast was included and that we're sure this is a mistake. We asked her to call the woman who told us this, she claimed that she couldn't reach her and became very rude and loud that we must pay, and if not that she would call the police. She also locked the front door so that we couln't leave! Mind you, this is a small amount but it was the principle and we felt like if we were native Spanish speakers, no way would this happen. After a lot of back and forth, she informed us the police was on the way!  A few minutes later 2 police officers showed up. After explaining our side in a poor way, they of course sided with her and told us that we had to pay or else would be arrested. This went on for a few more minutes as we insisted she call the lady from the other night. She didn't. Two more officers came in and this was getting out of hand, at one point my friend had 1 handcuff around his wrist while I, along with another traveler pleaded with the cops to just let us pay and get out of there. If this was in the states, I would sue this damn hotel for putting us through all that insanity over something that was never supposed to be charged to us in the first place.  Travelers, beware! Better yet, avoid this place and the rude staff.

Good room & location, terrible service & scam!!! Beware!!

They forced us to make the transfer from Italy with a fee of 12 euros. When we arrived they challenged the payment with the sole purpose of telling us that they did not have the room (booked from October!). They moved us to another bad hotel without refunding us anything.

Get away from him!

I booked this hotel in August on booking.com. They emailed me today to say that they are full and will not be accepting my booking, some 3 months later. This is totally unacceptable and untrue, as they are advertising their rooms at a higher price now. We are now left with no accommodation over the peak travel period in Mexico. Total scammers.
