74 reviewsTonzhaus Hotel is a gem, waiting to be discovered. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and afford a beautiful view over the stunning valley. The wellness area is a treat, with a heated infinity pool, whirlpool and panorama saunas, all there to await the tired hiker after a day in the beautiful surrounding landscape. The breakfast buffet is amazing, including a grain mill to grind a selection of bio grains into the fresh fruit and yoghurt Müsli, not to mention the eggs, meat and cheese selections and juicing options. If you choose Halbpension (strongly recommended!), you are treated to fine cuisine with 5 courses every evening. The venison, lamb and other main course options were tender and served with fresh vegetables and delicious local specialities. Patrizia, who runs the hotel as a family business along with her husband, Andreas the chef, are always available to help, to answer questions or to give good suggestions of hikes or other activities in the area. We have been going elsewhere in Südtirol for years, but we intend to return to Tonzhaus, our new favourite location, in the future.
