I stayed for 2nights on a recent business trip, spacious clean rooms good food at a very reasonable price, friendly staff, the complementary breakfast ( continental) was plentiful and even had boiled eggs . ⁵ mins drive from  port of Cork and Ringaskiddy.

I booked a last minute room as I was passing by for business with my little one and needed a hotel room unexpectedly.

I contacted the hotel and they were very friendly and said they had a room available.

When I got to the hotel, parking was easy (considering I had a 4x4 and boat trailer) & staff were very friendly when I checked in.

We had a lovely big room (1 double & 1 single) and all facilities were great.
My son (aged 2) & I went for dinner in the restaurant area and it was perfect (the cook did pizza & chips especially for my son with his favourite apple juice).
Very quiet location, great nights sleep and even the breakfast was good in the morning (plenty to choose from).

I would definitely recommend this hotel, it was fantastic to have a lovely child friendly hotel at an excellent rate.

I highly recommend a stay at Fernhill Lodge if you are looking for accommodation in the Carrigaline area. The rooms are really lovely, spacious and extremely clean with comfortable beds. Also excellent pizzas and a great selection at breakfast. Myself and my family had a recent unexpected stay and we were shown enormous hospitality and care by Niamh and Martin who I cannot thank enough. Really exemplary staff at Fernhill Lodge! Keep up the good work. We will be back again for sure.

Our stay at Fernhill Lodge was made most memorable by the staff. Deborah or Debra, in particular, went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be. She took the time to lead us to a bus stop about 2KM from the lodge so we could go into Cork for food. After waiting for about 20 minutes and realizing the buses weren't running, we decided to call it and return to our rooms. We asked if there was any way the restaurant would remain open for us when we got back. They happily agreed to keep the kitchen open and prepare us dinner. They definitely didn't have to do so, but that is just the kind of thoughtful people they are. Everyone on staff was very hospitable and kind and that is why I gave them 5 Stars. The grounds of the location were very nice. The rooms had the basics of what you would need for a decent stay.

The hotel has everything one might need. Yes it is not a 5*but then again if you want 5* amenities you go to 5*hotel. Staff are absolutely lovely, such helpful people and very easy to 5alk to. We felt right at home there. Highly recommend

I travel with work and stay all over the country but rarely write reviews.
This family run hotel deserves a mention.
Simple little hotel in a lovely quiet setting.
It’s the staff makes this place so special.
When you’re traveling a lot it’s nice to stay in such a homely place.
I stayed two nights and on the second morning I was late for breakfast.
On checking out the owner Billy insisted on making scrambled eggs and toast for me.
With so many large hotel groups out there this personal touch is outstanding.
If attending a concert in Cork they provide transport too.
With hotel prices in the city so high this budget friendly hotel is a ideal spot.
Smaller hotels are a dying business as it’s so hard to compete with the big companies but if we lose them we are missing out on a charming personal experience.
I wasn’t just another guest here.
I was made feel at home and so welcome.

I was here for a function. It is a hotel in a nice setting with good views. The hotel is modern. The staff were professional, helpful and friendly. The function food was well served and above average for event food. I was happy with everything except the room temperature because the dining room was cold and the toilets were freezing.

We booked Fernhill as it was near the naval base at Haulbowline. We booked a single room and a double also. Very happy with our cosy, comfortable warm rooms. We were checked in very quickly by friendly staff who showed us around and made us feel very welcome. We had everything we needed in the rooms. Tea/coffee making facilities,hairdryer, lovely warm shower ( didn’t want to get out of it). We had continental breakfast in the morning which suited our needs.Will return on our next visit to Ringaskiddy.

Kind and Hospitable Hosts

Tranquil hideaway

First time staying here. Really enjoyed it. Friendly and helpful staff, quiet secluded area away from the buzz of the city, yet only 20 mins away from city centre. 
Great clean and spacious bedroom. Loads of parking. Nestled in the grounds of an old golf club, by the looks of it.
Although no full breakfast, what was available for breakfast was more than adequate. Very reasonably priced compared to city hotels, in fact about 50% cheaper than most.
I will definitely go back to it next time.

My husband and I and my sister and her husband stayed here at the lodge on the the 24 May. We had a very enjoyable stay. The staff were very accommodating  and  the food was very .good. They even had a bus on to bring us to the concert along with many other guests. It brought us straight to the venue and back. I for one will definitely go back to stay over the summer. Thankyou guys.😘
