Leon House

Lovely house with huge rooms, well maintained and conveniently located. The housekeepers serve really well and provide delicious food (veg only). We have been travelling to Jodhpur annually since last 5 years and have stayed at different home stays every time. But Leone House has been the best of the lot, and will be our 1st choice in all future visits.

We had been to jodhpur in October 2014 and had booked Hotel Omni Plaza for 1 night. however to our pleasant surprise we were asked to checkin at the Leon House which was probably on lease to that hotel. Located in a residential area, it is a sprawling mansion with a splendid courtyard, a wooden spiral staircase, antique furnitures, a puja room and an awesome dining room.
The rooms are spacious with colonial furnitures , high ceilings a spacious luxurious bathroom with a tub.
We came to know that owner of this mansion was an NRI gentleman who had renovated the place and leased out the property. However maintainace was done by his personal staff who happen to do a brilliant job in keeping the place in perfect condition. It was by chance that we happened to be relocated to this place.
It is more of a guest house with a well equipped kitchen. the cook was happy to serve us a simple home cooked dinner and breakfast.
It is a nice place to stay but i really have no idea if bookings can be made directly. From what I heard, the prices are really steep and mostly foreign tourist avail of the facilities.

Stayed at the Leon House for a night and was highly satisfied with its ambience and facilities. The House gives a feel as if you're staying in a palace. The rooms are clean and spacious. Leon House has beautiful furniture that resembles of a palace. The staff is courteous and friendly. Do have your meal at the house only. They prepare delicious food.

This is by far the most friendly and customer centric guest house i have ever stayed at. For starters we were allowed to check in at early morning at 6.00 am, the staff and the owner Mr kumbhat himself were very helpful on each and every query put forward. It is a family run guest house, and the people gave useful tips on seeing places around Jodhpur.
The place itself gives a nice hertiage feeling, and the room provided to us was very huge and washrooms were clean.Since the owner, Mr kumbhat actively runs the hotel himself, it makes a visible difference in the hotel and the courtesy of the staff.
 
Overall, an excellent mid-range option in a great location

Feeling of a Royal Stay!

Great heritage stay

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of February. When we arrived we were met by the caretaker who did not speak any English but tried his best to help during our stay. The rooms are lovely ... But hot water is supplied from a 10litre tank that takes 30 min to heat so you are limited to a 3-4 min shower.  Situated on a very busy main road you will be kept awake by the traffic on one side and the sound of the horn of the trains on the other(we were woken by the 03.30am train horn and several thereafter). Leon House is quite a distance from the Old City and Clock Tower.  In our 2 night stay the owner only turned up on our departure to collect payment.  We would not recommend this property to visitors from outside India and would not stay here again.
