After visiting the city of Pécs with friends, we stayed one night in the hotel/panzió. We also had diner in the adjacent restaurant.
The hotel and restaurant are built on a slope at the outer part of the city. The restaurant's terrace offers a stunning view over eastern part of the city. You can have the same view from your hotel room, provided you book the right room...
The restaurant is Hungarian cuisine, of an above-average quality. The personnel is friendly and helpful. Foreign languages (English, German) are spoken very limited, as almost everywhere in Hungary.
The place is beautifully laid out in full traditional Hungarian style. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

One drawback, that may be essential: There are stairs to be taken, which may be too long and/or steep. There is NO elevator!

Amazing place with fantastic view

We enjoyed our super cool stay these little authentic wine houses. The location is perfect, quiet and has a view over the city of Pecs.  The rooms are small but big enough to stay in. Lovely furniture and decorations all over the property. Service was excellent and the food tasteful.

It's always the most pleasant and atypical hotel. The amenities and decorations are always as nice. We always come back with the same happiness and we were able to enjoy the outdoor terrace this time (in our last stay we came here in the winter).

We went back with so much pleasure

A typical structure on the Pecs hills immersed in green and very quiet flowers. It is carefully furnished with antique details. The staff is available and very kind. The parking is inside. The room is large and well furnished and the bathroom is also clean. Everything is clean. From the terrace you can admire the city at the foot of the hill. The night we arrived the restaurant was closed. The breakfast is very varied and rich and everything is very good.

A typical structure

I had booked this B&B because the website featured what looked like a really nice veranda with good views over Pecs. I also liked the ethnographic decoration which was featured online. When we arrived in the evening there was a big noisy wedding. So we could not have a bite to eat and a glass of wine on the veranda/terrace. All we could do is go to the room which, as it was very much decorated, felt rather overwhelming. The bathroom is dated and the toilet seat not properly adjusted. The next morning we were told that we would have breakfast in another building just below because in the hotel they had to prepare for yet another wedding. This room had a terrace too but even while the rather basic buffet breakfast (which itself could be much improved) was served, here too tables and chairs etc. were moved because the of the preparations for the wedding. So this was, all in all, a rather disappointing stay.

Found by chance it was immediately revealed to be a surprise by the beautiful flowery garden, the interior looks like a museum with exhibition of objects, costumes and photos.

Surprising.

Struggling in the midst of the vineyards and overlooking the city. Very nice Hungarian style baths. Very nice room superbly decorated. Very good restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Large parking lot. It may be difficult to find when you arrive at night because the streets are very narrow and winding to get there. Very warm home. Beautiful breakfast buffet.

A little wonder

The hotel is located a few kilometres out of town on a hillside with fabulous views. I loved the cute room decor with carved wooden furniture, traditional ornaments and embroidered fabrics. There was a mini bar, phone and tv (Hungarian channels only). The bathroom was quite dated and the shower was a pain with no curtain or screen but everything was very clean and there was plenty of hot water for a bath. There is a large restaurant with great views. We had a nice dinner of traditional dishes such as venison stew, wild boar and roasted goose with red cabbage. Breakfast was decent. Plenty of parking on the premises. From the hotel you can do a short walk on a trail to the top of a hill with a view point. We enjoyed our stay and found it good value. 

Nice out of town hotel with cute rooms 

The best part is the view. The hotel complex is rustic and very beautifully decorated in every detail. A beautiful garden with blooming flowers over all. The inn is more than 3 km from the city center and you should find the easiest way to drive up as many of the options are very steep and challenging and many of the streets are in a bad shape. The young man in the reception could only a very limited english. In the contrary to our booking there were no balcony in our room but a nice view over the town. Also the room was beautifully and traditionally decorated. In summer you appreciate light proof curtains. Now the room became bright early in the morning and wokes you up.  A decent breakfast even though the personal that we met, only spoke hungarian. You can order omelett or fried eggs, which are not on a show.  

High above Pecs

Nice hotel with cleaner, simpler rooms, decorated in traditional style: Hungarian folk-colored paintings on the wall and a lot of carved ceilings. Overlooking the place and the restaurant with trees etc. but also covering the parking lot. Bathing rather simply with a narrow bathtub without shower separation, therefore slight flooding on the ground. Cleanliness is fine, at the beginning of the season it has not yet quite clashed with the morning room. In sum, but recommended simply hotel with good location to the city forest and city with its cultural facilities. In the vicinity of two bus lines, which usually connect the hotel restaurant to the city.
