I am coming to this accommodation for the first time and really enchanted by the beauty of the location: green, blue, birds chirping. Calm and relaxation is what you need on your vacation and they offer it. The rooms were beautiful and the staff so welcoming. I want to sincerely thank Mrs. Xenia who from the first moment took us by the hand and guided us through these beautiful days. 
Exceptional restaurant with sea food and great wine and cocktails list . Fast service. 
The pool was very beautiful and surrounded by trees and greenery, also very clean with comfortable sunbeds. The pool bar, where you can order drinks and snacks is a great plus.
I can fully recommend Avatel for the family vacation or vacation with your other half.  
We will definitely meet again next season !

Real paradise 😍

It was a very nice stay, perfect breakfast, always clean, friendly staff, beautiful territory of the hotel, everything good made. A nice local music in a restaurant in the evening. Helpful staff. Thank you very much. We enjoyed it.The beach has stones, it was not so good to swim, we were driving to another beach.

First of all the place is all about cheap, low quality, from furniture to amenities, 
It is full of of green, trees etc but there is a down size to this, the sea breeze doesn’t pass the tall trees so the air is suffocating during night time. Also, the closest tavern is at least 2 km away, you need to take the car. They are aware of this and a beer(0,3) is 5.5 euros whereas in Kriopigi, at restaurants is 2,8 maximum 3.00 euro.
The trip to the sea is an adventure. Difficult, very steep, lots of stairs. This is not family friendly, if you have small children it could be very difficult.
Also, there is no private beach! Is private because the have some signs on the umbrella and sun-beds but people come from nearby villas and use them. The hotel was half empty and there were no sun-beds available!   
Warning! there are sea urchins in the water! No warnings from the hotel!

The biggest problem was the pool! Dirty, muddy aspect, it looks like unhealthy! 

I put some pictures. It was worse then the picture in some days. There was a guy at the pool, we complained about the quality and he said is fine it was because of the clorura! What??? We’ve been in so many places this was the dirtiest pool I have ever seen! We paid for a pool we never used! 
There was a power cut for 36 hours straight, when it happened there was nobody at the reception, they appeared in the morning! Imagine 36 hours with no AC at 29 degrees at night and 39 during day! In fact, when we left, at 09.30 am there was nobody at the reception as well, we had some water and beer to pay, some 7 euros but there was  no one to pay to! Unbelievable! 

Comparing with their claims and photos this is cheating. 

Should be half the price they asking and it wouldn’t be enough!
The price/quality ratio is the worst ever.

What we liked?
Although the building is not new, it is renovated Hotel facilities are good and well maintained
Oasis in the middle of small forest
Outdoor hotel area is super nice, green and also very well maintained 
Pool and pool area is outstanding 
Very good buffet breakfast 
We took half board and we were expecting buffet dinner. We were a bit surprised and to some extend disappointed when we were told the dinner is set menu. Still it was four course menu and we had to select in between 3 options for each course. The initial disappointment was overturned by the food quality and taste. Everything was delicios. Food varieties and options we had were good.

One thing that stands the most? People working there. Everybody, but the cleaning ladies, were super nice, helpful and always smiling(despite it was looking like they do long hours with little or no days off). In my opinion the people working there add real value to the overall guests experience 

Areas for improvement?
It worth having Do Not Disturb tags in the rooms. We were with a todller and the cleaing ladies walked into the room twice while the toddler was sleeping during the day. They did this on our first and last day. We told them not to come for cleaning between 1-3 pm which they did, with exception of our last day.

We stayed in July and it was super warm weatheroutside. It worth adding some kind of cooling fans in the main restaurant

Beach?
Water was crystal clear
Both beach and the water had rocks. Buy beach shoes
The hotel is trying to maintain small area, with 10-11  free of charge umbrellas, however the beach is just not good enough
There are many super good beaches and beach bars in the area, therefore that is not a problem for a people ready to drive 10-15 mins

Overall  although there are things that could have been better the hotel is excellent value for money. 5/5

Nice hotel area, awesome staff, and contraversial beach

Clean hotel, suitable for families, nice service, and pool. Reservations team especially Dimitra was very helpful and attentive  to guests. The first floor has humid rooms with mosquitos, but sea view upper rooms is better choice for this reason. Breakfast has good choice of Greek breakfast. Recommended!

Nice hotel in the green area!

This is a boutique hotel with its friendliest staff ever, service and  food is very good. Shrimp Caesar salad and grilled vegetables have been my favourites. Beach is quiet, small and the sea is wonderful, but more importantly, you are in the middle of nature and the view is great if you are on a higher floor. It is a pet and kid friendly hotel so seeing happy kids and happy dogs around is really lovely.

The room was good and the balcony nice. There was nothing fancy and nothing terrible about the apartment.  The walk to the beach and the beach itself is nice and sunbeds are free. Having the pool as an alternative for the kids was a big plus. There is also a nice little playground. There is a snack bar on premises as well as a pool bar. For anything more fancy you will probably need a car to go to the town. Overall we enjoyed the stay a lot and would come again.

In this summer of 2022 the Chalcidique is crowded. We dream of a beach but we find: clogs to get to the beachfront; a road in a catastrophic state to get to the Eco Lodge; a land hit with holes); queues to access the beach bars of the most beautiful beaches. Mass tourism reigns everywhere. In this context we can actually give a positive opinion for the Eco Lodge because you could live directly by the road among the crowd. But we were very disappointed.

Only choose if you want to run away from the crowd.

I've been on vacation since June 2022. The hotel has exceeded all my expectations. The cleanest air, pine trees, the sea, the olive grove preserved in the hotel. The lovely song of the birds all day long. Thank you to all the staff for the great service: Xenia and Tatiana at the reception desk, the staff at the restaurants for the best food, the maid for the daily towel change, for a very clean pool. The rooms are great.
