I have tried to get to stay in the Royal Olympic Hotel since 2009. Finally in June 2025 I got there on my 3rd trip to Athens. This hotel is slightly hidden away around the corner from Hadrian's Arch. Like other hotels of this particular type you don't have to venture into Athens, you can happily stay by the pool area and get on with whatever you need to do, as well as go for a proper swim in in the pool. The pool area has shaded and sunny areas. The rooms are as advertised and as a 5 star should be. Breakfast includes freshly squeezed juices, authentic Greek options, cold and cooked, with table service for beverages. It works seamlessly, and has conference/events facilities. My favourite is the rooftop restaurant which has a view of the Acropolis. Highly recommended.
