Very quiet Black Forest guesthouse in a beautiful side valley not far from the Schluchsee. Cozy rooms with balcony and a comfortable bed. Good fruit orchard buffet and all this at an attractive price.

Purely recreational

This is the third time we have been to this inn 2 steps from Titisee. The bed is correct, the size of the room is the same (if you are staying in the courtyard), the bathroom is a little small. If possible choose a room on the valley side.

A typical inn in the Black Forest

On our trip to Switzerland, we made our first stop here. We were looking for a place to stay for the night, and after arriving we were served a meal of the day. After the wonderful meal, the grilled cheese bread, which was absolutely unique, we had a good meal. In the morning we were woken up by cow bells. The day couldn't have started more beautifully. We would have liked to have stayed for a hike.

Just what we were looking for.

My husband and I spent five days in the Green Tree at the end of February 2015: a beautifully quiet location, a beautiful room with a shower, complete and clean, new fittings, appealing; from the balcony of our lounge a fantastically beautiful view to the south. The skilled Meier family made sure with their attentive, friendly way that there was a peaceful, warm-hearted atmosphere. From a rich breakfast buffet, even with fresh fruit salad, such as the dinner with grounded dishes à la carte and a really good salad buffet, etc. We were very close. Everything fit, and we hope to be able to return sometime in the summer.

A Black Forest Guesthouse to Feel Well and Come Back

Cleanliness perfectly cozy and friendly! Unfortunately, only the slice and the potatoes were not tasty at all! The slice was very full grown and the fries were dull and tasteless! I would have expected more and looked forward to a great meal after the walk! I was disappointed:(

Food

Thanks to the friendly Meier family, we enjoyed our stay in this inn. An ideal starting point - after a good breakfast(!) - for walks in the Feldberg area up to Belchen, not to mention the premium 'Hirtenpfad' around the riding book (almost around the Green Tree) for 'getting used to' or 'through to relax'.

Quiet idyllic location - 3 km from Schluchsee

We spent two nights at Gruener baum and enjoyed the atmosphere and service at the hotel. The food is very delicious  - we were lucky to visit during the chantarelle season and were served gorgeous meals. The hotel is located with a view of the green hills with cows and the forest and is only 10 minutes away from the Titisee.

Authentic Schwarzwalder Gasthof

This is a nice gasthaus in a tiny village. It's surrounded by fields and forests. And it is a very beautiful area, with hiking,and lakes, and lots to do and see. The owners are lovely people, very welcoming. The hotel is clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We could never figure out how to connect to Internet (we cannot speak German), but in this wonderful village, away from it all, we didn't mind the separation from wifi.

The family's attention is quite right. The location, excellent, in the middle of the Black Forest, a 10-minute drive from the lakes Schulsee and Titisee. The house is huge, as is the room, very comfortable and clean. The bathroom, although small, is very nice, not old and very clean. Decorated in traditional style, with a great and varied breakfast. Rest is guaranteed here.

Location with much charm.

A bit difficult to find (we made it difficult because we didn't take the first road in town), this countryside, family-run, typical Black Forest home/hotel is perfect.. So quiet with cow bells and fresh air! Lovely dinner (my trout was perfect). During the night the view from our window was the moon shining on the meadow with fog hanging on the hills. Lovely breakfast included the next morning with sun shining on the beautiful flower boxes. Friendly, efficient family seeing to our every need. A short drive from Lake Titisee and the wonderful tourist shopping.
