Tbili Sakhli Guest House

We enjoyed our stay at this guesthouse. I rate it very good in the class of guesthouses, which is about the only class of accommodation you will find in Georgia outside the big cities. The hostess was very welcoming. My husband, child, our guide and I stayed in the 3 rooms on the upper level of the main house with an external corridor. All of our rooms had a very nice private modern bathroom. I don't remember clearly but I think we had A/C. We also had screened windows with good airflow that cooled the rooms at night. (It was July when it was very hot.) The beds were comfortable and had nice cotton linens. There was not an excess of space in the room but it was adequate. The first floor has a common area with fireplace and a dining room with at least 3 tables. We were served traditional Georgian food for dinner and breakfast, family style. There is a separate motel-like 2-storey building with about 8 units. The family also has a farm. The compound is on the outskirts of the town so there is a pleasant environment of trees and other plants. There is even a cherry tree across the street from the driveway; we enjoyed a few cherries picked right off the tree.
