A nice terrace on the Dordogne, even though it was a little windy that day. The cuisine is good: we took a beef tartar and a terroir salad.

Lunch on board the Dordogne

We stayed for two nights in this beautiful village and were very satisfied with the hotel, welcoming as it can be, very kind staff and above all very helpful.

Family dinner with 2 adults and 2 children. We arrived at 7:30 pm, the boss's cold welcome, we felt disturbed. 1:30 wait between aperitif and the entrance even for the children... forced to claim everything, water, bread, sauce. It was still the next client who had to give us his bread banquet... only the waitress in training apologized for the situation and offered us 2 cafes. Not a word from the boss who preferred to clean his beer machine. Unacceptable for a restaurant that serves menus at 34 €. The kitchen and the service must juggle between the boss and the restaurant so it doesn't necessarily follow and you end up being served by the French cooks.

We have visited this restaurant many times over many years.
We always book in advance to ensure a table on the edge of the terrane overlooking the Dordogne river.
For a change we chose from the a la carte menu - I had a salad peregordine ? spelling) and my wife had maigret de Canard.
Both dishes were delicious, generous portions and, with older age appetites, plenty to eat as a single course.
With 2 glasses of beer, one glass of wine and 2 coffees the bill came to €70.
Service was friendly and prompt.
Parking a short walk away cost €3 for 2 1/2 hours.

We stayed 4 adults for 4 nights at the Maleville hostel. Very warm accommodation, correct rooms to match expectations, very clean, comfortable bedding, personal listening to the customer. Breakfast is very rich and varied with fruits, cheeses, wines, drinks:.....Super. We dined at the associated restaurant on the banks of the Dordogne, here too, very satisfactory, the quality/price ratio is very correct. Restaurant and hotel to recommend.

A small family tour in Périgord

I hope the kitchen isn't like the bathroom. We didn't eat, but we drank and took an ice cream on the spot. We can't say anything about the brewery.

Seeing the positive reviews, I think the owners of the hotel have changed! Traveling regularly, I've been able to frequent a good number of hotels... this one is to be avoided! Apart from breakfast there's nothing positive. Hotel Sale, housekeeping is very questionable (dust and drapes are everywhere and in this period of Covid we've even been able to put a used mask under our bed). These are more than old sites. Not entertaining (doors that don't close, bathroom and shower curtain in a poor state,...) Bad bathrooms (shower rooms 4 2 that were in the same state!) so I've never seen anything wrong... I've never seen them in years of traveling around the world, so I don't notice that they've posted descriptions of hotels in the next few countries, and when they're in the parking lot, I'm not saying that they're all the best places in the world, so I'm not looking for information about them...

Location and staff are great. Room condition and comfort are lower than expected.

Nice restaurant on the Dordogne with a very nice view. Very good food, the menu is excellent, one of the best duck conifers.

RESTORING THREE GOOD cooking from the Danger

Very welcome. Excellent price ratio. Located on the edge of the dordogne quietly. The staff is really very nice and presents a friendly card as well as 17 euro and 20 euro menus which are very copious.
