Cantine, not terrible at all... really if you starve to death and have no vehicle to escape elsewhere... that's a pity, the staff is nice but that's not enough.

Zero to be avoided

Hotel advice, at the room level it can go, but at the restaurant level, it's a disaster, everything is frozen, and the kitchen is very dirty.

Hotel that looks abandoned. kitchen not to mention, fried oil that's over a year old. etc...

We stayed only one night halfway through a long trip and the treat was unbeatable.The quality-price ratio was very good.It has a parking lot, a quiet area, we were able to have breakfast in the hotel quite well, very clean, we stayed with a puppy and everything very well, it has wifi that went well, and we rested very well.It is true that the decoration is a little weird but it has its charm.And the treat of the staff very good, it showed us everything, it let us see its dog, and very nice.We would certainly repeat.

 Genius, I would repeat.

Very welcome to this small hotel in a nice little village. The rooms are simple but clean. The environment is calm. We spent a good stay in this place which is 25 minutes from the sea. Too bad there is no pool!...

Heat

Apart from the friendly reception of the owner or receptionist, nothing matches the photos or descriptions.The room is clean but basic.This hotel seems abandoned and the price of 98 euros is excessive to say nothing more... Given the condition of the place, we avoided having breakfast there.

It is regrettable: to be absolutely avoided

The exterior of the hotel is to be improved: water from the swimming pool is unsuitable for swimming, vegetation is neglected, the terrace of the restaurant is in disrepair... in the room overlooking a courtyard where disorder still reigns.

Modest hotel

Initially, it looks very basic but it's very clean and the room has everything you actually need in it.  Owner was very friendly and spoke very good English, rides a motorbike so could give us some lovely ideas for a ride out along the coast to Spain, which we enjoyed.  He even offered to lend us his sat nav when he found out ours had broken and we were having to navigate the old fashioned way! 

It was very quiet while we were there so it was just the plat de jour on offer rather than the buffet but the food was excellent on both nights and very good value for money, wine was perfectly drinkable and we tried the rose, red and the white!!  

We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.  

Don't arrive before the check in time as he doesn't open until 5 but he was there on the dot of this.  You can still park up and there are table and chairs to sit in while you wait.

Don't judge a book by it's cover!

We have just returned from spending three night's in this hotel along with two friends, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.  When we arrived the owner greeted us and took us to our room's, which were comfortable, very clean, quite spacious, and had an excellent walk-in shower.  
When we went down to reception after leaving our belonging's in our room the owner offered us a carafe (on the house) by way of welcome, of the excellent and refreshing local rose wine, while we were sampling this he told us some information about the hotel itself.  It was formerly a convent, and still has a statue of the "Virgin" looking down from above onto the small courtyard, which is an excellent place to sit in the evening while drinking more of the local Baixas wine, very, very relaxing. 
We dined in the hotel restaurant on two of our three night's and found it very good value, it was 13.5 euro for the buffet plus the plat du jour, which, when considering prices in France was amazing value, also the local wine was 4 euro for a half litre, and was extremely drinkable, "we should know".
The hotel's location is a very good base for exploring the region, we drove off in different direction's each day to explore the area, then returned to once again relax in the little courtyard for a pre-dinner glass of wine.  There is also a local winery in the village which you can visit to do some tasting before you buy, apart from the rose wine they also have a local red and white wine, so well worth a visit.
The staff could not have been more helpful, the owner himself could not do enough for us, also the cleaning ladies, the breakfast staff etc, every single one was extremely pleasant to us during our stay.  
We all really enjoyed our stay,  and will certainly return to this hotel the next time we visit this region.

Fabulous Hotel and location.

We booked through booking.com for the great reviews. Baixas is a small village in nowhere. We arrived at the reception opening time and instead there was a late opening sign at 17:00 we waited with a German family but no one came. After an hour we found the manager who was just sleeping inside and, smelled like a lot of alcohol. We all cancelled the booking and we left, it didn't seem serious and correct behavior, even though he apologized repeatedly.

Unreliable

Great little hotel - excellent value and the friendly owner speaks English, French and Spanish.,  Good restaurant.  The medieval town is about glorious.
