Davvi Arctic Lodge Karesuvanto

A bit of a late review as we stayed here for a week in March. It was honestly the week of a lifetime and an experience I will never forget. Our room was larger than I expected, the bed super comfy and a perfect view from the window. We stayed in the main hotel which worked perfectly as could go to the restaurant in comfies and slippers. The room itself had a large desk, multiple mirrors, and a porch section at the front of the room with more than enough space to hang up wet clothes so it didn't need to come into main room. The staff were incredibly friendly, especially the manager who always took the time to see how we were. Food was lovely - always hot. I am a very fussy eater with allergies and there was 2 days where I looked at the options and didn't like any of them. The staff were always happy to cook me up something else quick so I could still eat. (Nobody else had this issue. I am very fussy but every other person staying enjoyed all of the food!) Cakes at dessert were so nice. Still missing the chocolate cake now!! The grounds of the hotel itself you could spend a week itself walking through the snow, spotting reindeer and going sledding. Loved having free time to do this and could've easily had another empty day. The location is great as its a short walk to a touristy gift shop and cafe to get out the hotel, and you can also walk over the bridge to the main village. Before booking I saw some negative reviews about Transun and the experience and was so scared, whilst there are one or two small points I have on Transun (separate review) this was honestly the trip of a lifetime. And for the price we were so so happy, especially being able to fly from our local airport. 1000% book and stay here!! You will feel like you're in a fairytale.
