Owners were friendly and helpful and a pleasure to talk to.

I was here for a couple of days and had a very comfortable stay.  The room had everything required and the bed was lovely.  Spotlessly clean, cleaned daily and handy for everything.  Would certainly stay here again.

Comfortable stay.

Had a great stay here recently, was so close to venue we were going to for the Alison Moyet gig, it was very clean and comfortable and only a minutes walk to the sea front. All in all ,I would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed 2 Nights at the Athol Guest House-Very Clean and Comfortable Room and equipped with enSuite.
Very near to all Amenities that Douglas has to offer -minutes away from Pubs -Restaurants -Villa Marina.etc
If you come by Car you might be lucky to get a Parking space in front of the Hotel or park on Derby Road opposite .

An excellent stay. Accommodations were outstanding! Breakfast was delicious and filling! Jenny and Allen were very friendly and wonderful host. I’ve already reserved a room for next year.

Stayed in room 2 no problems what so ever comfy bed and the room fairy's where in everyday ... Clean towels and bed made every day a very pleasant stay will definitely be back .... Room 2 is on the 1at floor so not many stairs to climb ... Brilliant for beach and Douglas town centre.

Lovely hotel 

Small room accomodation of clean and average standard. Close to the water front and centrally located to the shops and eating places. Located on a hill and steep steps to the rooms internally. Local bus and horse drawn transport 5 mins from the hotel which puts this hotel about in the middle of the promenarde.

The hotel is located in a good area, very close to the beach and the main areas of Douglas.My experience was very grateful, the room was very clean and pleasant, as well as the staff who were very friendly and attentive.

I've only slept here one night but I assure you that such precision and cleanliness in an old-English context is really hard to find! Young staff (and cute :-)) central position, delicious breakfast! The only thing is the lack of a real reception.

RECOGNISED

Who spends less spends more. Well, it's not true in the case of Athol House. A single night with a private bathroom, prepaid, £27. That's really spending little. But behind this hostel price, there's a very Spartan guesthouse hidden, but perfect for a night. Good location, about halfway through the long Douglas promenade and a few minutes from the main shopping street. Good quality sleep (but hope the other guests are quiet, after all it's a Victorian house) even kettle with the cord and coffee in the room. Honestly, there's nothing missing.
