Commercial Trust International Hotel

This is considered a 4 star hotel. It has 25 floors. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The beds are firm but you can sleep well on them. My room was cleaned and bed made the next morning. The front desk staff speaks English. Check in was easy and quick. WARNING: TOILETRIES ARE NOT FREE AND NEITHER ARE THE SNACKS/DRINKS "PROVIDED", so bring your own. There is a price list by the snacks. You fill the sheet with the items you used/ate/drank and pay when you check out. Cha Ching The t.v. has a few channels in English, although a couple of them had a lot of static. The price includes breakfast for 2 (otherwise it is 45 RMB, almost $8 USD). It begins at 7 a.m. in the lobby; Western food is offered as well as Chinese breakfast items. I arrived at 7:20 and the eggs and turkey sausage links were cold. There were a variety of cereals and breads. A toaster was also available. The restaurant is nice but I was the only foreigner in there at the time. My room was on the 20th floor (and I am afraid of heights), but I had a decent view. Unfortunately, it was cloudy. I could see the Ferris Wheel and large stadium (I forgot the name of it) and a mosque. Oh, yes. The room has a computer. I brought and used my own. I switched the internet cable from theirs to mine. Also, find out how to work the A/C. I could not figure it out and my room never got cool. I was too afraid to open the window, and when I went down stairs I forgot to ask how to operate it. It was pretty quiet. You can hear the kids playing in the neighborhood.
