Also ripped off a whole grad class out of Barrie of half there money.
They accepted with pandemic uncertainty.

They Reneged on a contract

We left it too late to book a room overnight to get a good selecton for pet friendly hotels. Edgewater Inn was clean but outdated & very small. The shower knob pulled off in my daughter's hands. Not much space in the room to walk around. The staff was friendly. Could walk to the beach so conveniently located.

OK for an Overnight Visit

we stayed in cottage 17, a group of 24. we’ve had nothing but problems since the minute we got there. house was dirty, wifi didn’t work, only a few of the ACs worked, oven didn’t work just so many things were wrong. the first night we were there security tried kicking us out for something that was totally there fault and that being people without wrist bands getting past security into our house. please tell me how that is our fault that the security company can’t do there job correctly. anyways the last night we stayed we ended up getting kicked out at 10:30 at night - a full group of 24 people out on the street with not even all our belongings as we only had 20 minutes not even to pack everything up. this place is disgusting and an absolute joke, very unprofessionally run. i will NEVER book here again as long as i live

ABSOLUTELY terrible

I will give the management credit for making every attempt to solve whatever problems occurred.  The owners, however are not using wisdom when they think they can rent out their rooms in the winter months without central heating.
I lived at the Edgewater Inn from December 2018 through April 2019.
The pipes in the room froze because a simple space heater was not adequate to combat the extreme cold.
The management did accommodate me at one of their other properties (the Baybreeze) until the problem was fixed, but it should not have happened in the first place.
My main complaint by far is the unprofessional way the owners run their business. I was paying $625 per month.  I felt this was quite reasonable as it included the use of a small fridgefreezer and a microwave.  I paid a $300 security deposit when I first arrived.  After I checked out of the room in April, the management said it would be refunded after inspection.  If there was any problem with the condition of the room after I left, I have no idea what the damages were because they are refusing to respond to my request for an explanation.  After leaving several voicemails and text messages,  I decided to send an e-transfer request through my bank.  The first attempt was ignored.  The second time I sent it, it was declined with a note that said “JUNK REQUEST.  STOP SENDING IT”
Needless to say I was not the least bit impressed with that unkind response.
I then took a picture of the receipt I had indicating that I had in fact paid a $300 security deposit.  I then sent the owners an email with the photo attached asking them to explain the reason my refund was denied.  No response whatsoever!  My email was completely ignored!  That’s why I say the owners are unkind and unprofessional.  I would not recommend this motel to anyone.

Unprofessional ownership

I can go on all day about this place. It is disgusting. Plain and simple. I would not let my dead dog sleep here. I stayed here with my friends in july, the staff is as unprofessional as it gets. Grounds r very dirty and the rooms, oh god the rooms, i could not wait to get out of there.

For your own sake, do NOT stay.

We stayed at the cottage at Edgewater Inn on the river directly across from Beach 1 which is the perfect location!!  The cottage was clean and well looked after and we felt perfectly comfortable for our week long stay! We were sad to leave and will definitely be back again next year!!!

Awesome Cottage!!

This place is a joke. Cockroaches and centipedes all over our beds and room. We got to look at all 3 edgewater locations and they were all disgusting. Staff are not friendly whatsoever and care more about keeping their God damn office air conditioned than any of their customers. Rubin and Robert were pretty cool though. Absolutely disgusting I would never stay here again, do yourself a favour and sleep in your car. The staff also love to take your money whatever way they can. By far the most disgusting place I've stayed in my life.

Absolute dump

We had booked and paid in June for the 2nd of August, 8 people with Riverview.... we didn't have the unit we had booked, no Riverview.... they supposedly upgraded us to a unit with washer and dryer (too ugly to use) but no view of the river, in addition to an obsolete air conditioning for the size of the unit... complaint to the manager (never present), who tried to accommodate us after having more than shown our teeth and we were hung up the line in the nose by the latter...and we had to change the unit twice, to have a semi-comfortable stay.....!!!!

All their properties are the same, there are no households and no towel changes either, we ran out of toilet paper, but the office is closed, so we have to make some arrangements, the only thing that's good is the proximity to the beach.

Really don't get very dirty advice when you put on your gutters to take your shower there's a cleanliness problem.

It wasn't worth spending so much money on this place. It was dirty, it was all cluttered and noisy. On Saturday night, security guards came to patrol the cottages. Party people were partying all night. They couldn't sleep. It was screaming, it was drinking and throwing their glass bottle everywhere, the music was loud. In short, it really wasn't nice. On the website, it looks so quiet and quiet.
