We had an amazing stay at the Empire Motel at a great price.  The rooms were updated and clean, the owner/manager was very friendly and helpful during our stay.  It also has a nice outdoor pool area and bbq area.  I believe the outdoor pool opens in May.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and spacious.

Property and rooms are clean and well maintained. Nice little courtyard to sit and visit or eat breakfast, BBQ's available for guest use as well. Pool was a bit too chilly but with the beach nearby not a big deal. Estelle is so friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed and her complimentary wagons to haul stuff to the beach were much appreciated. Location is great with close proximity to the Skaha beach, a great Japanese restaurant across the street, and shopping all within walking distance. 
Unfortunately i did not take pictures of motel but have a picture of our walk to the beach, which has a lot of green space to picnic, a playground, restaurant, ice cream store etc.
We enjoyed our stay and would book again.

I had the best time here with my young children and parents. Estelle and the other staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. From the beginning, Estelle was so prompt in her communication, and very easy to book with, including answering my questions prior to staying. The room was clean and looked recently renovated. The staff checked on us daily to see if we wanted a cleaning or needed extra towels. The property was well kept and I saw staff daily cleaning the pool, watering the plants, washing the outdoor tables, etc. There were guests using the picnic tables and BBQ area but were friendly, yet quiet and respectful. The proximity to the beach cannot be beat and it was an excellent stay overall, especially for a very fair price. I would absolutely stay here again.

Would Definitely Stay Here Again

We really had a great stay at Empire Motel. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The pool was clean and fun for the kids. We really enjoyed the outdoor seating areas and BBQs. Absolutely will go back and have already started recommending Empire Motel to family and friends. You could really tell the owners and staff worked hard at keeping everything clean and cared for!! We had a family suite and it was perfect for our family of four. Looking forward to staying there again.

If you are visiting the friendly town of Penticton this is a fabulous place to stay.  It is a super short walk to Skaha Lake and a short 8 min. drive to Okanagan Lake.  The number one reason that makes this little gem so special is the owner Estelle who genuinely cares about the satisfaction of every guest.  Estelle was so helpful to my family and her staff is very friendly as well.  Our room was super clean and featured a separate bedroom with two beds for my older kids which they loved having all to themselves.  We were in town for the first time for the Iron Man race so we had lots of stuff and it was great being able to park right in front of your door.  The weather was nice and lots of people were out enjoying the common areas and lovely pool.  This is the type of place you can chat with your neighbor if you want, or just do your own thing.  We liked the food and vibe on the lake at Dragonboat Pub and also liked Salty's Beach House.

Liitle Gem in Penticton

My family of 5 stayed here for 5 days along with some relatives. The owners are very nice and the motel was clean and well taken care of. It has a nice courtyard with two gazebos, picnic tables and lots of chairs as well as a nice outdoor pool. Our room had a kitchenette that had plates, cutlery and a few other basic kitchen supplies but not all the rooms have this. It was only a 5-10 minute walk to Skaha lake beach. The only thing that would improve this motel is a small playground area for the kids. Overall a nice stay while visiting Penticton.

Clean, comfortable and close to Skaha lake.

We love coming to this quiet, clean resort close to Skaha Lake. We have been coming for over 20 years. We love the outdoor pool, which is treated professionally daily, and the outdoor barbecues that are pristine, with fresh utensils after every use. Estelle and the staff are friendly and accommodating. We will definitely come back!! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

A wonderful place

Clean rooms, mattresses are new and very comfortable, bathrooms newly renovated, shower pressure and temperature were perfect! The outdoor BBQ area is well equipped and a perfect place to unwind. Estelle really cares about her property and is so kind and helpful. Would stay again and recommend to friends and family!

This is a nice little no-frills motel. It has a pool and a bunch of barbecues. The rooms are clean and comfortable. What makes this hotel special is the attention from the owner. I felt like I had a relative taking care of me. Estelle checked on me to make sure the room was great, gave me restaurant advice and helped me pick a route for the next leg of my trip. I’ll be back.

Fantastic Service

Friendly and very welcoming staff. We were in Penticton for the Gran Fondo race and it was the perfect stay for the weekend. The room was exceptionally clean, quiet, and spacious with a full kitchen. It was a short walk or drive to all amenities. It was a short drive to the race start or a 15 minute ride to the start. Lake was super close too. Pool was lovely especially with the heat in the Okanagan. It is obvious the owner is attentive to guests enjoying their stay. Highly recommend this adorable motel.

We traveled to Penticton for a cycling event.  The property owner was so gracious and accommodating. She secured our bikes in her garage when we weren't using them and was always asking how our stay was going.  The property is conveniently located to water and major roads.  Just a very nice stay.  We would definitely stay here again.
