It’s such a great place to stay, we keep coming back!  Comfy bed, fully stocked kitchenette, spacious, very quiet, impeccably clean and a fantastic bathroom.  Add to that staff who cares about their guests and makes them feel welcome.  And it’s in an location filled with amazing restaurants to choose from, all steps away from the water.

This was our second stay and we were just as impressed this time!   It is as great as we remembered.  Spotless and so comfortable within walking distance to amazing restaurants, the beach and all that Wellington and The County has to offer.  We will be back.

We loved this place a lot! The room is huge and pretty, the surroundings were great too! Our only issue was we couldn’t find a place to eat or buy groceries after 8pm.

Modern 3-room suite located in the commercial area of the quaint village of Wellington. Walking distance to the lake, restaurants, shopping etc. Staff very responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Newsroom Suites is a beautifully renovated and updated property set back from the Main Street of Wellington, close to a good choice of restaurants, and a block from Lake Ontario.

The suite was lovely and the house is located in a great area of the town.  The owners were very attentive and friendly.  I highly recommend this property.

Great location and reasonable price with many walkable options for restaurants and shops. Had little interaction with the staff, likely due to COVID residuals that all communications were done online. Not sure if this was the common experience of others who recently stayed at this establishment (Sept 2024). Note that late check-out is charged at $50/hr in case anyone is wondering.

First time stay where there wasn't staff on site but this was not an issue. Everything was totally efficient. A Keurig coffee maker would have made it perfect I misunderstood instructions when I called about coffee availability in the room. The room was fantastic and absolutely spotless. I appreciated the umbrella :)

Thanks Grace for making our stay so great.  Not only was the location perfectly situated to all our planned activities, the suites had everything that we could have needed. Even the online platform to checkin and out was easy to use and provided additional information.  It truly felt like a cottage getaway!  I would recommend Newsroom Suites to anyone wanting to visit the area!!

This motel/ hotel is not only perfect for a weekend away, its so well appointed and has every detail you didn’t know you needed!
The owners were wonderful to deal with, smooth check in and departure! We didn’t have  an idea how wonderful our stay would be!! From the style, comfort and those sheets!!! All were amazing!! We will be back in the summer!!

Best place in Wellington!

Modern, clean suite. Has a great sitting area with a kitchenette and a cozy little coffee/breakfast bar with a view of the garden. The bathroom, is large, bright and spacious with a soaker tub and glass shower. Comfortable king sized bed in a generous sized separate bedroom. The suite makes excellent use of space with lots of light and high ceilings. The check in was seamless and the hosts were gracious. Lots of attention to detail including complimentary coffee and tea as well as milk/cream in the fridge.

Lovely accommodations.  We stayed in Suite 3 at the front.   Easy access from parking area.  Well equipped, very clean and cozy bed.  Had a lovely walk down to the lake and dinner at the Drake. We really enjoyed our stay and will come back. The new suites along the side look super cool. Rick and Kathleen were excellent communicators and ensured our stay was perfect. And it was.  

First Class.  

Family of 4. We stayed at suite #4, the suites at the back are townhouse style, so very quiet. The landscaping is beautiful. The rooms are spacious. Foodland supermarket is next door, and many restaurants are just across the street within a minute of walking distance. The highlight is that there are two EV charge posts at the front parking spaces. Next door there is a big community kids playground facing the lake. Overall the best rooms we had so far in PEC (stayed at two other places in the years before). Highly recommended if you have kids.

It was a clean and conveniently located inn near the lake front.  From the outside it looks nice.  The amenities provided were decent. We found ventilation inadequate in the King Suite.  Walking noise from upstairs did disturb us at night. Parking is limited on the property but off-site parking is across the street.

A modest exterior fronts beautiful suites.  These owners haven’t missed anything in creating beautifully clean, modern and spacious suites that encourage longer stays.  A well equipped kitchenette allows guests to self cater if they wish.  We stayed in the original building which has been freshly updated and although the four suites were occupied we never heard a sound from anyone else.  Our hosts were friendly and responsive.  We would love to return.
