We stayed in the Hotel Melrose for 2 nights while attending a family event in nearby Dicksmuide. Found the hotel very easily - near one of the coastal tram stops. Free parking in front of the hotel. Does not have a view of the sea, which is 2 blocks away. Room was large and comfortable, with a small private garden area. Lots of information provided, and people very friendly. Room has everything you needed - including hairdryer, minibar, a good selection of TV programmes. Full breakfast included - fresh fruits - raspberries, strawberries and blueberries, melon, freshly squeezed orange juice, local cheeses, cooked meats. I didn't try the pre-cooked bacon, omelette etc as they looked a little 'tired' and I have had bad experiences elsewhere with pre-cooked bacon! Pets are welcome. All in all, a püleasanr stay. WE walked to the promenade and ate at "Petrus', who served enormous, delicious mussels, while I had a really good fish meal "Kabeljau a la Oostende"
