This is a hotel that should only be booked if you're a disco visitor yourself. It's in the basement of the hotel. The bass of the facility can be felt until well after midnight up to the second floor.

Nothing for a good night's sleep...

Schladming is always worth a visit. The hotel is run as a dependency of the hotel's new post, although it has been around for years - but cheap and clean. Together with a half-board offer at the Hotel Neue Post, a few steps further, the offer is recommended.

A hotel in the centre to recommend, although the rooms are small but clean and have a balcony.

I stayed at the Rossl in a front facing room for 2 nights. 

Let's start with the positives:
Rooms are modern, spacious and bright.
The hotel is quiet - even when busy.
The rooms are well heated and ventilated.
The location is great if you want to be central.
Free use of wellness facilities in the nearby Posthotel.
Pretty good food at the Posthotel if staying half board.
Really good value for money.
Free WiFi courtesy of Schladming-Dachstein  all across the centre of resort (and this falls into the range)

Neutral:
There's a nightclub Cult Club underneath - I'd heard that it was a bit sleazy, noisy and going to keep me awake all night. To be fair I went in for 1 drink to be nosy and it was just an underground bar that was a bit smokey. I woke up once due to someone being a bit loud outside - otherwise I slept through. Bring some ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.

Negatives:
This hotel feels a little ghost town-esque - the reception is closed and there is no atmosphere. If you want a beer then you're going out.
You have to go over the road to the Posthotel if you want a sauna or if eating half board.

Overall - would I stay here again? Possibly not if I was coming with my partner - I like my comforts to be convenient and it wasn't really. However if I was on a boys trip and wanted a comfy and well located hotel for a fantastic price - I'd be here like a shot.

We were in Schladming for a short-ski, stayed in Rössl for 2 nights. The hotel has been completely renovated and is very clean and modern. 
Rooms are spacious, water pressure in the shower is good and the location is in the 'center' of Schladming.
No, there is no reception available and you have to go to the Neue post hotel to speak to a staff member, have breakfast or dinner. Rössl is a part of the Neue post hotel, which is only 1 minute by foot. 

Breakfast was great, lot to choose from. We didn't like dinner too much, the taste of the food was OK but it was a bit 'cheesy'. A piece of meat, a potato and one vegetable. There was a salad bar too, but all in all we weren't satisfied by dinner.

Location is good, centrally located next to the main square and about 5 minutes on foot to the main gondola. 
There also was a night club underneath the hotel, although we were on the first floor (which is the lowest floor of the hotel) we were not bothered by the sound of the night club. Yes, you could hear/feel the bass, but it was not as loud as expected. We had a good night sleep after visiting the club for a drink! If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!

Perfect spot for a short ski

We were at the Hotel Rössl on New Year's Day 14/15, we had booked at the last minute and were happy to get a seat at all. Our expectations were rather low, so we were more surprised than we were there. Admittedly, the staircase house and the location (directly via disco) didn't exactly appeal to me either, but the rooms were clean, neat and decorated nicely. Until New Year's Day itself, we didn't get anything from the club. For food and wellness you can once walk across the street to the Hotel Neue Post. The breakfast on the morning was very nice with lots of sausages and cheese, marmalade, mussels cornflakes and perfectly laid eggs. I've already had plenty of meals in the 'best' hotels around the shops. We've also had to eat at the Gunnels and a dining room at the main hall, but the hotel is also very nice, and the location of the hotel is very nice, and the hotel is very nice, and the hotel is also very convenient.

Recommended hotel with good food

Had a great Holiday in Schladming . The Hotel Rossl is in a great Location in the town centre a short walk from the main gondola station for the Plannai.
food is served in the Neue post hotel typical Austrian Quisine.
We were half board but we did have some great food in the Mexican around the corner make sure you reserve a table gets very busy and very popular called Marias.
Lockers at the plannai lift station only 4 euros a day well worth it and state of the art.
Great skiing on four mountains something for everybody. Great lift system.
Apres ski in the Tenne bar and also the pub opposite the gondola station they really know how to party.
Also the Church bells ring a lot but it does not matter what hotel you are staying in you will here them gets you up nice and early for the first lifts. lol

Just back from a great week in Schladming. The Rossl was just what I wanted. Comfortable beds, nice hot power shower, clean rooms, TV to catch up on Olympics. Food was 40m away in the Neue Post. Outstanding food and service. Great atmosphere too. 

Snow was great with brilliant long red runs on all four mountains. Had a superb skiing holiday in this resort and would return next year!!! 

Great week in the Schlad!! 🎿

We took advantage of a last minute offer and spent three nights in January 2014 at this hotel to park directly in front of the back entrance. There is a locked room available. When we arrived (at 10.30am), our rooms, which were by the way, freshly renovated, were on the second floor and were immediately taken to our rooms. Since the Night Race was imminent and a tent was set up in the hotel's parking lot, we had to park a little further away (5,- Euro per day), but we were also allowed to unload for a short time in front of the back entrance. Price performance very good

We spent a week during the 2013 World Ski Championships in Schladming. Top snow and excellent slopes. The very centrally located boarding house was a positive surprise for us, as we had read the bad reviews, which were not true. The rooms were newly renovated, very well equipped, bright and friendly colors. The rooms and bathroom were very clean. Also the windows were renovated during the renovation and the church bells were hardly heard. The half boarding house we were allowed to enjoy during the week at the hotel to the post office was absolutely top. Delicious food and an always friendly service staff. R, we can warmly recommend the accommodation.
