A very pleasent experience in one of the most beautifull Unesco protected building from Berat. Papi(the owner) was very healpfull and very kind to us! The breakfast was delicious and 10 meters away from Guva Restaurant with a beautiful view! 

Excellent experience

This is such an unique place, living in traditional stone house. The hosts were such lovely people. The breakfast was sumptuous. The wifi worked perfectly. Next time I'm here, I'll book the family room just for the view alone.

What an experience!

We were the only guests here, had a nice sleeping room, kitchen and huuuge living room just for ourselves. Located in a middle of historic district of Berat this place has it all: friendly service, tasty breakfast and amazing views from the room. And all that for a very affordable price.

A real gem

booking site pics dont do this place justice, this is a three bedroom two storey villa. at first we thought we had the whole house to ourselves as there were no other guests but after the trip when i checked booking sites again its actually a shared house if there were other guests, but there were none when we went. owner Papi speaks very little english but will try to help, cash payments only. this place is like an ethnography museum and has been used by UK and US Ambassadors recently. a bit hard to find and not marked but owner was waiting outside for us. there is a 'grand bathroom' on the lower floor with washing machine but a bit creepy like going into a dungeon! i put a video on youtube with a whole tour, look for guesthouse berat. good wifi. owner slept over in the kitchen to make early morning breakfast. might seem a bit creepy to some people but he has his own entrance and tv so wont disturb you. breakfast was all fresh made. too bad we had to leave early morning for bus to Gjirokaster. a must do event for anyone staying in berat.

Like staying in an Ethnography Museum!!

This place will definitely not leave any tourist indifferent!The emotions can be different.Once about the advantages - the location, UNESCO monuments and the accessibility of all interesting attractions, the national colour of the house.The owner of the house has been very attentive to the issue of decoration, interior and details can be viewed endlessly, there are also fun mixes.By the way, the owner himself is very friendly, prefers to participate personally in the preparation of breakfast.

If you want to share the historical heritage of Berat, it's best not to think of this place. A real centuries-old house with a fancy authentic interior, with all the resulting pros and cons. The owner of Papi is very hospitable and sweet, trying to help the guests, although he doesn't speak English. Breakfast is simple but satisfying. Cooking eggs, sandwiches, fruits and homemade food, drinks. The room is elegant, with a fancy view of the river. The general lighting room is impressive, after it can really and not visit the ethnographic museum! From the minuses it was perhaps only a little stressed that we got a room with a toilet and a shower on the bottom floor, a night with a bed and breakfast... It's a very nice place to go for a day, it's a very nice experience.

Location charming, old dwelling perched between the streets of old Berat. Fascinating interiors that create a traditional atmosphere with some trash that is a must to appreciate. The cordial and gallant landlord will make you feel at home in four to make you feel at home!!! Abundant breakfast with marmalade bread, gravy oats, cheese and fresh fruit. We recommend it to you to spend an evening that will take you a dip in the past!!! Thank you paps, see you next!!
