Excellent location with fabulous views across to St Augustine. Very friendly at reception when we arrived and extremely helpful

Wonderful place to stay! The view was stunning, Old Town, Fort, Waterway and Boats what more could you ask for sitting right outside your door! The staff were all wonderful and the breakfast was very good. The location was spot on, you can walk to Old Town St Augustine right across the bridge and never have to worry about parking.

Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable. Happy hour and breakfast included. We loved sitting on the deck behind our room, Adirondack chairs included, to watch the sunset and boats go up and down the Matanzas River.  We wish we could have stayed longer.

Hidden  gem in Saint Augustine. Very nice little place with an amazing view of the bridge. Quiet because it is in the other side of the bridge but the distance is walkable. Staff were very friendly and nice.  Complimentary breakfast and happy hour was excellent.

The room was updated and very clean. We loved having a patio on the water. It is a close walk to the historic area and had free onsite parking. The hot breakfast was great. And we loved the happy hour wine and snacks.

My 10 year old and I had a great one night stay! Staff was very nice, awesome breakfast and a very picturesque back deck looking over the draw bridge and historic district. We'll be staying again when we come back!

My husband and I would have liked to enjoy a cigar sitting out back facing the bay and that was a bummer that we could not do that or fish out back. When we booked this hotel that was a few things we were looking forward to. Otherwise very nice place and enjoyed our stay.

Great location and service. Older property but thoughtfully appointed. Short walk over the Lion Bridge to historic area. Breakfast was lovely.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and the happy hour were both great.  Different each day. Our room was facing the water so we also enjoyed watching the sunset over St Augustine. It is an older property but bathrooms were renovated and the beds very comfortable. Room was very clean. Walkable to the historic district.  Would stay again.

Staff are very friendly, within walking to all shops and dinning.  Will stay again with family.

We really enjoyed the Edgewater Inn for its proximity to historic downtown St. Augustine.  The view of the city from our private balcony area was second to none.  The bed and pillows were very comfy and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. We love a hotel that offers happy hour, and Edgewater's was really nice.

The images online show a smooth and clear deck, however, the deck was in pretty rough shape.  Definitely need to wear shoes if you want to walk down to the beach area.  We encountered a woman who was serving breakfast on our first day who seemed to be having a pretty bad day.  She wasn't nice to us, but that's ok...we're all entitled to a bad day here and there. 

This is an older hotel, so there was not central AC.  The room had that musty old Florida in the summertime smell and we wish we had brought our air freshener with us.

All in all a very nice place in an excellent spot.

Relaxing Stay At Edgewater Inn

The location is amazing!  Beautiful view of the waterway and downtown is a 8 minute walk over the Lions Bridge. The pillows and bed were comfortable and the shower is great.  Room was clean and housekeeping was friendly and polite. Breakfast was basic - same items all 5 days .  A/C is a bit noisy and front and back porch lights can’t be turned off so room wasn’t as dark as I like. The only significant complaint I had is the manager, Tara.  She was the most unpleasant and rude person we ever encountered.  Each day she made no eye contact and never welcomed us in or made conversation. She literally said nothing when I said good morning. We felt uncomfortable each time we went for breakfast and stopped going after 2 days. In contrast, Ronnie was a delight. He was working in the evening and welcomed us and made conversation.

Lovely place- beautiful view

Building is older but rooms have been renovated.  No carpet and showers tile. Wonderful breakfast and a fun happy hour with fabulous sunset view of the water. Easy walk to the historic area. Very quiet. I recommend valance for rooms with the outside light and a longer shower curtain. I would stay here again.

We come back to this inn every year and it’s amazing . Customer service is always the best and coming back to this hotel is like visiting family . Happy hour is perfect with small snacks and meeting new people as you look out at the water. Breakfast is always delicious ! 

We'll definitely be back next year !

Beautiful view and great customer service

The rooms were very clean with comfortable beds. The staff was friendly and courteous. The complimentary breakfast was served to order and tasted fantastic. The view from the waterfront rooms and the dining room is beautiful. Nice view of the Bridge of Lions and the Fort. Walking distance to downtown. I would definitely recommend a stay if you are going to tour Historic Downtown

Some of the photos were a little deceptive but all in all we enjoyed our stay and would go back again. The management and staff were very friendly and helpful with advising me on how to get around the area. But all in all, we enjoyed our stay. The only thing I would recommend is the bathroom needed some work, the wall beside the bottom of the toilet is showing sheetrock damage which is most likely due to moisture. It needs to be repaired.

All in All!

Friends coming to a wedding in St Augustine booked 6-8 rooms (#days varied)over 2-4 days. Staff is exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. Cooked breakfasts are good. Common room has breathtaking bay front view (Nights of Lights picture perfect) and comfortable group gathering space. Rooms are spacious, comfortable basic motel with coffee makers most with great views. Just across walkable bridge from St Augustine town Plaza. Great!
