Yesterday 14/07/23 my sister and I went to attend the graves of our parents and aunt at the church it was an extremely wet cold day so afterwards we went into the huntsman for hot drinks and food . receptionist ignored us the barman looked at us as if we had crawled from under his shoe , he did speak I apologised for being drenched, he directed us to the bar and for the next 15 minutes totally ignored us, and so did the receptionist when she came in the bar “ can I help ladies “ would have been nice . So in the end as we were obviously not welcome walked out. They must be used to wet bikers walkers ect as advertised on website . I suggest only go if you are dry and dressed in your best clothes. Very disappointed as we have none that pub since childhood

An absolutely amazing stay! 
The room & facilities were perfect & spotless, all staff were so friendly, helpful & a pure credit. 
The food? Omg, the best we've had in ages!!! Fresh, local produce, perfectly cooked & beautifully presented, top class. 
Cannot wait to return to this gem of a place, our new "escape" 💯🤩

Anniversary get away

Great to see an independent restaurant beating the chains at their own game for good food and a family experience.  Young, enthusiastic staff who obviously have good management behind them to ensure they are on their toes, and quality food and drink at reasonable price.  All in a great setting.

We had our second stay at the Huntsman last week. What a great place to get away from it all, the accommodation and food are both excellent. All the staff are friendly and helpful. This is a great base for visiting the area, with Ironbridge less than 20 minutes away, Much Wenlock close by and Shrewsbury with in easy reach. Perfect for discovering the area on foot, we walked the Wrekin and Ercall from the Huntsman., also to Ironbridge and back using  the Telford  T50 trail which goes through the village. 

The perfect place 

Absolutely awful service, by a male waiter, we believe to be David, saying flyes  Around  our food was part of being in the country side. (but we were next to a camera if they want to check) As we complained he said we were loud as aggressive so we left not finishing our main but paid full price, which is not a problem for a hard worker, but a shame that the huntsman had no problem taking it all . All he had to do is move us to another seat, but I will be saying on other platforms that you are not a nice place to visit.

Wedding anniversary

Very nice little BB staff very attentive. Very clean. Super food. Good beers. Lovely view over to Wrekin. The only negative, not much of a atmosphere in the pub, but great for trips to Bridgenorth, Blist Hill,and Ironbridge

Little Gem

After a busy day visiting Ironbridge and its museums this was an ideal place for a Sunday dinner. The staff were polite and efficient.
My partner and I ordered the roast beef dinner it was tasty great selection of veggies including a decent cauli cheese.
Portions were generous and great quality for the money.
Would come here again if visiting the local area.

Then restaurant was impeccable and the service 1st class with a good menu choice, I had the Hunrsman fish pie which is possibly the best fish pie I have had, going of the restaurants service I wish I had stayed here as well
 All in all superb would definitely eat here again

A little gem

We stayed for four nights in a lovely quiet room. We would have liked a slightly bigger bed (restless sleepers), but otherwise the room was excellent, warm and comfortable, lovely towels and room for a third person on a camp biped if needed. The breakfast was very good and the evening meals were excellent. Service was efficient and the young staff very polite and friendly.

Attractive pub in quiet location, with excellent food

We enjoyed a meal here while we were staying at the b&b. Good portion sizes, plenty of choice and the food was delicious. Service was very quick but we didn't feel rushed and the food was hot and well presented. Staff were very accomodating and helpful and the atmosphere was lively. We would happily come back and work our way through the menu.

We accidentally left the hotel review under the restaurant. Both are 5 star
