Roundthorn Country House and Luxury Apartments

We recently celebrated our daughter’s wedding at the Roundthorn Country House Hotel in August 2025, and we honestly couldn’t have wished for a better venue or experience. From the very beginning, Meini and her wonderful team were always on hand with advice and support. We made many calls during the planning process, and every single time her calm, can-do attitude shone through — nothing was ever too much trouble. On the day itself, everything ran seamlessly. The stunning backdrop of the Lake District provided the most beautiful setting, and our guests were blown away by the views. The wedding breakfast and canapés were absolutely superb, with so many of our guests commenting on the quality and flavour. Every member of staff we encountered was exemplary — professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly. We also stayed overnight and found the rooms to be very comfortable and well appointed. After a restful night, we enjoyed a lovely breakfast to round off a truly special experience. We are so grateful to Meini and all the team at Roundthorn for helping to make our daughter’s wedding day so perfect. It’s a day we’ll treasure forever, and we couldn’t recommend this venue highly enough.
