We had a shot break from Monday to Friday at the Sherwood forest lodge.
What a lovely surprise it was. It is a converted stable made into a lovely two double bed accommodation in a quite location.
Everything you could think of was provided for cooking and cleaning.
The location is perfect for exploring Sherwood forest, Rufford Abby and much more. 
The Dog and Duck pub is a short walk and well worth a visit.
The owners are lovely making sure your stay is relaxing.

Excellent place to stay, I stayed in 1 of the pet friendly lodges complete with hot-tub.

The views, privacy was excellent, lovely homely place good value.

Dogs welcome at a very small fee.  

Close to Sherwood pines, Sherwood forest, clumber,  rufford & thoresby parks.

The hot tub experience outside was amazing

We have stayed a couple of nights in 2016 so far and this is still our favourite place to stay when in the Sherwood Forest area. Friendly staff and a modern house. We always try to take the suite on the top floor. Free wifi and plenty of off road parking space. There is a pub in short walking distance.

We stayed a couple of nights here when spending a day at Centreparcs Aquasana as it is so close. The whole house was spotless and the owners very friendly. Our room was comfortable but a little small considering the B and B is purpose built. There was not enough room for 2 bedside tables which made things a little awkward as nowhere to put my glass of water overnight. The bathroom was also very small. Breakfast was excellent although I found the host a little too intrusive as I like to be left alone to eat in the morning and he was a little too attentive I know he was only being friendly but less is more.

We enjoyed a very comfortable one-night stay here just after New Year.

On arrival we were greeted by Keith and shown to our room, having spoken earlier in the day to agree our ETA.

Our room - the deluxe suite on the top floor - was spacious and immaculately clean with plenty of storage space.  Being at the back of the hotel, we also appreciated the views across the fields to Sherwood Forest and King John's Palace.

The full English breakfast was well-prepared and we were made to feel welcome for our short stay.

The whole building seems well-appointed and was quite a discovery.

We'd be pleased to return.

I was very luck and manage to find this little oasis near two of the customers I visit regularly.
The room was clean, well appointed and spacious. 
The breakfast was excellent and more than enough to set me up for the day. 
The owner is really nice, made me feel welcome, knew my name and nothing was a problem; this will be a regular place to stay when I'm near Nottingham.

We had a most enjoyable one night stay here. We were greeted by the friendly owner who took us to our room. The room was beautiful, very clean and had a super view over open fields to Sherwood Forest. The bed was very comfortable and the room excellently appointed and spacious. The bathroom was very attractive but we did find the shower a little small. All the public areas were immaculate and very attractively decorated. We had a good breakfast with plenty of choice served and cooked by a  friendly and attentive lady. This B and B is in a perfect situation to explore Sherwood Forest and has a pub/restaurant nearby which can be accessed by walking on a pathway round a field or from the main road. I would certainly stay again if I was visiting the area again.

Excellent pet friendly lodges.

If you like a host who’s a take your money and run this is the place for you! 
We stayed here having required emergency accommodation due to a major leak at home. First ten days there was intermittent issues with the boiler so no heating or hot water at times.
Then we find out the house at the end of the lane which is the access point to the lodge is an unsecured mental health residential facility for several males who have behaviour of concern, of which deficate in public areas, throw tables and smash glass and indeed expose themselves (not a place I see as a relaxing environment when we have children). And worse still this place is still advertised as a B&B on trip advisor! 
On top of this if you want use of the  hot tub this is an extra £50 (not disclosed on the website).
