This is in a quiet spot, which has also a farm shop!  I stayed in one of the rooms in the barn, which had steps up to it.  The room was very large, and you a small lounge area with a table to sit. The breakfast room has great views and as for the breakfast itself - wow - what a selection!   Parking is nest to the steps where you stay.

Surprising place to stay

Stayed for 2 nights. on arrival was met by a lovely girl who walked us to where our accomodation was, No 5 the Barn. Steps up to it which could be a problem for anyone with walking disabilities, but not for us. Lovely bright room with 2 comfortable chairs, table, and king size bed, lovely power shower and toiletries, kettle, coffee, tea,sugar, milk and biscuits which were topped up again the next day. Heating was on throughout our stay and lovely and warm, a draught from one of the windows so we just rolled a towel and covered it. The breakfast was excellent, so much choice on the continental with a choice of different coffees etc, which was followed with a full English, a choice is also offered for hot dishes. All the staff were polite and smiling. Would definetly stay again when we are up this way, excellent value for money.

Exceeded our expectation

I stayed for 4 months starting with a single room.  There was no hot water so they moved me to a cottage which was great.  I thought the single room was very small but clean and negotiated a long term price for the cottage where I was moved to previously. The cottage itself was great apart from the heating system (seems to be a common occurence).  The upstairs heating was fine, but there was no heating downstairs.  I reported this and was given a single fan heater which was totally inadequate.  3 months later, the heating had not been fixed and still hadn't been when I left at the end of December.  There was also a problem with the water pressure which meant that on 3 occasions I had no hot water in the morning - cold showers are not my favourite thing in December!  Wifi awful...

Good value but issues...

Reading previous reviews maybe we just had a single bad experience, but it is what it is.
This is a mixed review but honest.

The Cons
Dated decor in bedroom (curtains and blind need replacing)
Bedding old, worn and dirty (slept clothed)
Very cold as Bedroom heater didnt work (although electric heater provided after complaining)
Broken heater also leaked water across the floor
Cold dining area
Greasy breakfast which was rapidly getting cold as soon as it arrived.

Definitley will not be returning and was close to cancelling the payment and staying elsewhere but were short on time.

Not happy, will not be visiting again.

Very clean, comfortable & spacious room. Only stayed 1 night but we were very impressed by the friendliness of the staff & the wonderful breakfast spread. 
Would definitely stay again if in the area & also highly recommend this little gem to other travellers.

I was unable to attend du to personal reasons. But the gentleman on the phone was very polite and understanding. He cancelled my room without charge. Even though who I booked it through had gone into liquidation. Thankyou

I didn't go 

This is the second time I have stayed here whilst working away. The rooms are great, the staff are fantastic and the breakfast is brilliant. I have just returned today after 11 nights there and the staff were very friendly and always there for you. The price for my stay for the quality was unbelievable and would recommend this to anyone.

Fantastic

I was very impressed I had a very comfortable  nights sleep, it was very clean, very  good  breakfast the following  morning. And very reasonable  thank you very much. I only stayed 1 night i  really  dont know what else to say.

An unusual location next to a farm shop and cafe. We have stayed before and nothing really disappointed us. Very clean rooms and excellent staff. 
The choice at Breakfast is as good as you would get anywhere. It’s the first time I’ve had cucumber and chives on my full English but it was excellent. Will definitely visit again if in the area. Real value for money. 

Not 4* or 5* but great

An unusual kind of b&b being on a working farm and the room although a little old fashioned, was lovely and quaint and clean. Massive comfy bed & great bathroom. Breakfast was lovely and staff friendly. I would recommend and definitely stay again
