Dobedan Exclusive Hotel & Spa

Why Dobedan? Well, we chose this hotel after a recommendation as was simply overwhelmed with the amount of hotels in Turkey all claiming to be 5*. We wanted something luxurious but not huge and too commercial. This hotel is wonderful and I must admit - the best we ever stayed in. It may show my ignorance or lack of experience with luxurious hotels but I’m writing from the perspective of someone who had a one go at luxurious holidays and didn’t want to make a mistake. The unique inclusive is an ingenious invention when food and drinks are available 24/7 (I think between 6-7am there’s nothing available). There’s your usual meal plus midnight snack, lunch, coffee&cake and my all time favourite - champagne on tap! The hotel is extremely clean and beautiful. You still have the usual Turkish opulence but it seems classy and tasteful. Everything is literally given to you before you even think about it and it doesn’t make you feel like you’re abusing it - you are just welcomed and they want you to feel comfortable. The Turkish coffee and tea are served beautifully and the drinks are genuine. Obviously there are plastic cups by the pool but that’s understandable. The staff are friendly, hard working, cleaning constantly. The hotel has everything you think it should - beach bar, pool bar, pier with beds, tables, bar and a jumping platform, multiple pools for everyone, slides, baby pool, kids club, spa, games room, Starbucks, themed dinners, evening entertainment, activities throughout the day, air-con lobby (it was 46° when we were there) - honestly can’t fault this holiday and I hope we can come back one day!
