We visited Senkin for breakfast after climbing Little Adam’s Peak. The owners were extremely lovely and accommodating. They made us coconut roti with Dahl from scratch. We could even hear them grinding up some fresh coconut for the roti. Because they made it from scratch, it did take a little while. But who’s in a rush in Ella? It was 100% worth the wait, the coconut roti was the best we’ve had yet! Definitely recommend for a tradition Sri Lankan breakfast! 

I never thought I would be so excited about such thing like vegetable sandwich. It was just cabbage and carrot but with some magic best sandwich ever. The service is slower as all is fresh-made and balcony-made. Just go, relax and enjoy.

Nice and clean room with enough space for a confortable Stay.
The lunch and dinner are good for the value. And even if it's cheaper than in other places in town it has great taste! 
I would stay here again. The owner was really helllfull and with good english skills!

I stayed with my husband for the last 3 days in Senkin hotel. I wanted to leave a review and was surprised to see different owners names ( Regan and Anula). I think they must be ancient owners as the person who is running this place now is named Sanad. Who is by the way one of the amazing people of Sri Lanka.  Always smiling and doing everything he could to make his guests satisfied.
The rooms are actually humid because of the weather but they are spacious with a big bathroom and hot water.
Delicious breakfast is included but don't hesitate to try their delicious meals which are by the way very very cheap.
So if you look for a good but  not fancy room with hot shower, good service, good location and tasty food, you just found your hotel.


Means my friend stays 2 nights in elk, we were served breakfast both morning and it was absolutely delicious! The location is great and a little out of the hustle and bustle of Ella city. Super close to little Adams peak and a quick route to the nine arch bridges. I would definitely recommend this place. Super cheap and super nice!

Calm and friendly

So we came in on monday and we were really happy with the room. We stayed in double bed for 2 nights and we really appreciate the net above the bed that prevented from mosquitos. The bathroom was small, but with hot water. There were towels waiting for us. I need one more towel and a soap so I asked the owner and he happily brought both of it. The was no a/c in the room , but the wifi worked perfectly. 
For breakfast (that was included in our stay) we had the first day rotti with dhal and salted coconut shreads, coffe or tea. It was really good. The second morning we had omelletes with tomatoes, onions and toast with butter and jam . Also very good.
The only thing I didnt like was, that the owners mobile number or whatsapp wasnt working at all ( he didnt pick up) and I found this very bad - in case in trouble or anything. When we coudlnt call him, we tried to look for him in the accomodation around 21:00, but he was nowhere. Without working number..if we for example lost our keys we woudlnt know what to do..
Also there was a frog and snails in our bathroom (the second day) and there was no window , that we left opened. But I dont blame the owner for this. ITS SRI LANKA! Animals are everywhere
