The low-budget rooms are at the height of the house: compared to everything else in Sri Lanka, the bed creaks terribly, the mosquito net is holed up and the owner's dog screams all night long... Sheets and towels not provided. Not much to save this guesthouse. The owner even put a rabbit on us one night when we were meeting to go to his tuktuktuk turtles in rekawa... His kitchen is at the top, fresh and tasty.

It's expensive for a quality not really on the date!

It was a really bad experience to find this place. The owner tried to flirt with my girlfriend. The place is awful, dirty, small rooms and no towels.They say there's breakfast and it's a lie. Luckily we found an awesome place just in front of: Shehara Homestay, cheaper, awesome rooms and the owner is very kind!

WORST place in Tangalle.

2000 Rps is averege price for this accomodation. Room was dirty, bed was creaking, there was big holes in mosquito nets, in the bathroom was problem with water in washbasin. WiFi conection was very bad, becouse someone still carry away WiFi router. In room was broken window. Owner want your money for accomodation beforehand.

You can find better.

We stayed three nights and at no time was the room made, the restaurant apart from the steps is not good so I suggest you go along the beach and go left (cross the lagoon) for lunch, dinner at Oceana Beach where you will enjoy fresh fish and from what I've learned the hotel belongs to Russians.

very moderate hotel for the price

Hi, everybody let me tell this is really a good place to stay if you want a local experience, in hospitality and great homemade food, close to the beach 5 min. walk
It's also possible to ask the manager if he would recommend any tourist places to visit and he can also take you there with his tuktuk if you like.

They are dishonest people and in the end we suffered a considerable monetary loss (several hundred dollars) directly related to their bad faith. Poor quality/price ratio establishment. There are many nice small hotels right along the seafront road and you should opt for this kind of option (we changed establishment before even spending the night at Villa Lagoon View considering the poor quality of the place and we found a small hotel for 1500 Sri Lankan rupees).

Don't go in there / Tourist Trap

PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!
I've travelled around Asia in many guest houses always booking on line before arrival and never have I had such a bad experience. 
This place is over priced, dirty and most of all the owner is a really bad person.
 
What happened to us is we made a mistake when paying the room fees (miscalculating from us dollars to roupies, we gave him ten times the price). We realised our mistake a few minutes later and went back immediately, but the owner refused to show us the money we gave him and denied the whole thing... He took advantage of this situation, leaving us with no way to prove what hapened to the authorities. The online site we used to book is considering our complaint, but we doubt anything will be done about it once again because it's only our word against his.... As a traveller you don't want to find yourself in that position! 
 
If you don't want to live that kind of horror story DON'T STAY THERE!! 

We had a doubt from the start as the reviews were not really good, we booked anyway because we were 5 people and were afraid that during the christmas holidays every hotel would be full. This was not the case and we were able to find a better and cheaper place really easily.
  So I would recommand not booking your accomodation on line and just take a look at the many hotels located right by the beach, they are cheaper, cleaner and hopefully you won't have to deal with dishonnest people. 



worst hostel experience in my life

Not a bad guest house not far from the beach in Tangle (about 400 meters), a good guy manager, will do anything you ask, answer all questions in good English, all the conditions for relaxation, there is a terrace on the second floor, around the house pleasant green, you feel like you're in the jungle.
