It's a very nice, raw, owner-run BnB, unfortunately right now Corona is running out of breakfast, which is no longer a nuisance, as there's a shop in the immediate vicinity that's open from 7:30.

Ideal starting point for city tourism

We stayed here for 4 nights before returning to the UK. Jenny and Nev were very friendly and helpful. We requested a Full English Breakfast on 2 days which was excellent with a lot of choice. The continental breakfast was also great with  Croissants, pancakes, cereals, fruit salad etc. The room we had had plenty of wardrobe space, comfortable twin beds and an ensuite bathroom. Wifi was good. My only complaint was that the shower door opened inwards which made it really difficult for us to get into and out of the shower. Maybe a shower curtain or sliding door would be a better idea. However, if we ever go back to Cape Town we would definately consider using the Lemon Tree again

Lovely stay in Newlands

Jenny is an excellent host, enjoyed the pool in the heat, the only thing I was missing was a fan in my room. Location was good, walking distance of restaurants. Traffic from the guesthouse to clients was good due to the majority of the traffic going in the opposite direction. Enjoyable stay.

Enjoyable stay

Thank you Jenny for a wonderful stay. First time i have stayed in a guest house on my own and you made me feel very welcome, safe and comfortable. Lovely spacious room and bathroom, excellent wifi and walking distance to the shops and mall. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of seasonal fruits, yogurts and breads and pastries. Thank you!

Relaxing stay

Wonderful stay with an excellent host, Neville. I had the mountain view room which gave me a wonderful view of Table Mountain whilst I enjoyed a coffee on the balcony. Comfortable and clean. definitely a place to visit again. Jenny, who actually runs the business, had a family emergency so was out of town which meant that I needed to pay cash instead of by cc. Not a problem though as there are many ATM's in the vicinity. Great stay. Thanks guys!!

Thank you once again .the booking was short notice,but you guys managed to accommodate us exceeding our expectations.we loved your place ,the room, the warmth you guys have it all.we will definitely come again and would recommend to all of family and friends.

The property is very clean and the breakfast was good. The area is really peaceful and the room I was in was quite comfortable. The hosts are also very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was was a positive experience.

Lemon Tree Guesthouse

This guest house is in a really great location and in walking distance to the cricket, which I was in CT for. It is nice and quiet and the continental breakfast included in the price was very good, thank you. 

Great stay

Neville, Jenny's husband, provided a big welcome. Well appointed, spacious room with good bed and linen, attractive furnishings and well serviced. Breakfast on a Continental basis had wide selection and was very appetizing (cooked breakfast was not available as Jenny was overseas for a necessary family visit). Bathroom was also well appointed and more than adequate (with water restrictions we used the facilities as frugally as possible). There did not appear to be a guest sitting room, but as we did not ask it may have been missed. The property is very well positioned in Newlands, central to the entire Peninsular and City Bowl. Cavendish Square mall is within walking distance as are several restaurants and pubs. Overall a great place to stay for a couple of nights or much longer, and equally for business or pleasure. We shall certainly visit again when circumstances permit.
