Casa do Barão is truly a special place. From the moment we arrived, the warm, joyful, and professional welcome made us feel right at home. The boutique hotel blends historic charm with modern comforts—beautifully decorated rooms, elegant common spaces, and a serene garden with a pool that invites you to unwind. We stayed in the premium balcony room, which offered a peaceful courtyard and river view—perfect for relaxing after a day exploring Lisbon. The hotel’s attention to detail is remarkable: complimentary port, fresh-baked cakes by the wonderful Angela, and cozy lounges filled with character. Even the smallest touches, like whimsical decor and a quiet, modern elevator, add to the experience. Every detail was accounted for and made us feel special. Breakfasts were a daily delight—fresh, generous, and served either indoors or on the lush patio. Whether in the morning or after a long day, the charm of the garden always called us back. The staff - with a special kudos to Joana, went above and beyond—offering fantastic local tips, amazing places to eat and visit, and arranging cars for us. Their hospitality felt like visiting close friends. The location in Chiado couldn’t be better—walking distance to everything: historic sites, great restaurants, shops, bars, and the riverfront. It's quiet at night, yet close to all the action. Casa do Barão isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an experience. Joana joked about us moving in and we just might! We can’t wait to return and wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else in Lisbon.
