We stayed here with a friend for 3 nights. It was exactly what we expected according their description. The staff is amazing, they organized for us many tours ( Tumalog Falls, whale shark, Kawasan falls ), and they have us many advises about what to visit nearby. I recommend this place to every backpackers. This only negative points was there noise by cocks early in the morning, but as a traveler you’ll certainly wake up early in the morning to enjoy Cebu. 



Amazing staff and place 

Stayed here one night to see whale sharks following morning. Whilst I visited the whale sharks against my best judgement and would not recommend it, I would certainly recommend using Luzmin to sort out the trip if you do choose to go. We stayed in a cottage with a fan which was basic but perfect for what we wanted.

Picked up at 5.30am and driven to the centre. here our driver/guide went and sorted out our registration and tickets while we sat for the briefing.

Then we were led over to get life jackets and snorkels and told our boat number. As soon as this was called our guide ushered us to our boat and away we went.

Very slick and helpful considering the chaos going on around us. It was busy when we arrived but hellish when we left around 7am.

Fine for a night

First they offer us rooms at 750 php per night. dirt we couldn't even put the bags on the floor because there was no space. common sdb not clean at all. they show us the pink house at 1800php at night. negotiated 1500 php they take it. the room is big and clean but expensive for quality..... in the morning no water at all I go down and I'm told to use common showers. so I get angry. and the like by magic the water comes back in 1 minute. they just closed the valves.... plus they have their scooter 700php while paying 10 php a tricycle to go to town it's 400p. the scooter is uninhabitable. the wifi is very early in the morning because it's almost in my rental business and phoney.

Poor price ratio

The room is so small and dirty that to unpack the suitcase we had to take it out, dirty common baths, they're far from the main excursion which is that of the whale sharks, and one of their colleagues stole a golden cross from a chain he had held during the excursion, unfortunately we didn't realize it right away.

What to Avoid

We stayed 2 nights at this place they offer nipa huts and regular rooms me and my partner.we pay 1200 pesos for two nights for a small nipa hut its really small just a double bed and a fan that fits inside its really simple but cute. The only thing that i dont like is u have to share bathroom with other guest outside but not really big deal the worst is that ur right next to a hardware store one time my partner has to complain for we want to take a nap and all we hear is a loud noise of metal that they trying to load to their truck for 2 hours lol. The owner is really nice though she takes care of everything for us.

Not bad:)

The house is made of lanterns. It's covered with bamboo. The floor is crevasse, so you'll be accompanied by geckos and other wildlife. The bedroom has a clean, clean, ventilated bed. The bathroom, the shower on the street. It's for budget accommodation only.

The Lantern House

There are rooms in this hotel and in a stone building with a shower and a toilet, but we chose a bungalow. It's more like a cabin, a chicken coop with a bed, huge windows and everything... no, it's something like a porch. There are huge gaps in the floor and under the door, so any insect or lizard can come in.

For the extreme.

We stayed February 2016. We arrived at the hotel night time, in a quiet location but along the highway where the bus ceres passes by. Room we got is for a group of 10 people which has bunkbeds like dorm types and a kitchen outside tghe room.. ac is strong. The owner is not friendly.

Like a residential property turned into hostel

We booked the Big cottage for 2,nights. It has 1 single bed and 1 queen size bed made of bamboo ang it creeks everytime we moved out of bed or change positions. The batroom and showerroom are located outside. Lyka is very accomodating and the rest of the staff.

2 things I didnt like in the place is that there were 2 males who were repairing their motorcyle in front of our cottage from morning till 3pm! It was disturbing. Second, I dont know if they were guests or bystanders inside the vicinity but there wer group of teenagers who were very noisy in the night time. 

The place is very far from the whale watching and sumilon but Lyka was good enough to offer a package for our activities in the reasonable price.

Vacation

A huge spider, bed bugs, ants, beetles, mosquitoes... this is the room... the worst hotel for a trip. Sharks charge 1200 pesos per person, 10 minutes on a tricycle.
