Staff are very helpful. They do their best. Food is very poor quality and always served cold. Very little variety,  and not well prepared . The property is huge, beautiful but in need of serious maintenance. Very run down. Leaks everywhere.  They need good managers and gardeners and supervisors.
The furniture is worn out. 
Its a pity because it is /was a beautiful place

The wifi is good, its excellent,, the food is tantalizing, the place is spacious,,,, the place is welcoming,,, its a place that is serene,, the weather is awesome,,the place is appealing to anyone who feels free to visit the place,,, anybody who feels free to attend the place, its so welcoming,, the host meetings as well,, and conferences as well,, feel free guys to visit the place,, have got some of the photos right there. 

A weekend out

The Jumuia Conference & Country Home located along Limuru road, next to the St. Paul University was the bucket list idea to explore this week.

Part of the Jumuia Resorts under the National Council of Churches of Kenya, the conference and country home boasts 102 rooms surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens and plenty of reflection space.

The resident Maple Restaurant serves a range of African and continental meals plus a variety of in-house pizzas. Yet while the food has room to be more inspiring, the service faster and the shakes thicker and larger, Jumuia nevertheless has the countryside advantage of space and strategic location, being just off the road and, of course, it basks in the past prestige of having been inaugurated in 2006 by Kenya's third president, Mwai Kibaki.

A Gem in a Great Location that Could Do Better

The guest house is near St. Paul university. It’s very basic. Rooms are clean with good bed, very clean linen, hot shower etc. 
the green lawns around are very beautiful. The staff are friendly. 
If you are in limuru and need basic accommodation - this is a good place to be

Jumia is strategically located and a perfect place for a quiet conference meeting away from the noise we are accustomed to in our towns. The conference halls are spacious and the the staff where on hand to assist at all times

Great Conference 

It was my first time at the hotel. I t was interesting to note that it has a wing with new buildings and another one with very old buildings. It didn't live up to all the hype I had heard of. We were there for a work related workshop. The single rooms we stayed in were too basic and small. One actually looked like it was originally a store. What I hated most was the colour of the bedding. It was a funny off white that looked quite old and not inviting. Last time I checked, serious hotels have pure white bedsheets. The worst part was the pillows. They were worn out and had yellow stains on them. The toilet seat was one not to dare sit on...brown and old. Simply put, the room had zero inspiration. Its one of those ypu want to be done with asap. The food was alright but basic. The conference room we were in had no internet signal, so I had to go elsewhere to download my mail then come back to the room. The staff were polite.
The hotel would do with a major revamp.
