Ryokan Miyukiya

Staying at Miyukiya ryokan was one of the best experiences during our recent trip to Japan. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We came really late at night to the ryokan because our tandem bike was broken and we had to fix it. The staff was waiting for us and even sent a taxi to meet us at the station. The dinner and breakfast were delicious and the rooms were great. The ryokan onsens are of private type and very nice; exactly what you need to relax.

Service was superb. Upon reaching, the staff immediately brought our bags to the room. As it was raining, she immediately suggested us to go for a bath at one of the private hot spring in the ryokan. The hot spring was great too! 

Our room was on level 2 and there are kitchen facilities which you can use as well. 

Breakfast was delicious and I would totally stay here again.

This was my first experience with a ryokan. It was absolutely great! Private hot spring (inside room and outside room). Super clean. Perfect meals (breakfast and dinner). Limited English, but very helpfull staff. 
Location is quite central, you can walk to the main spring-sights from Beppu. You will need a taxi from the train station. Staying at a ryokan is a must while in Japan. Perfect experience! I'm sad I couldn't stay longer.

My solo trip to Kannawa onsens staying in Miyukiya was truly heaven. Warm welcome from the ladies, they showed me around and how to use the 2 outdoor hot springs bath. My room is big with private toilet and overseen the Kannawa onsens with steaming fog over the village. You can have private bath if available, the left one is extremely hot p, while the right is perfect hot. There is also indoor streaming bath but i myslef prefer outdoor. The breakfast is excellence and made me full until late afternoon.  They will indicate your room on the table so you need to sit according to their arrangement because you can also request some specific food that you cant eat or you dont like. The bus station to Beppu station is just right on the corner, 20 steps away.  You can walk to Jikogu hell of Beppu. 

The location is very good on visiting Kannawa Onsen. A very short walk to the hells of Beppu which we did think that they were not that fascinating compare to the neighborhood itself. The ryokan located in the heart of Kannawa onsen with walking distance along the walking tour of Kannawa.

The ladies taking very good care of the place. There are 2 onsen room which you can make it private for your family. Only checking the sign and put the sign on the door. 

We arrive very late so the lady owner was very helpful on recommend for the place to have dinner. We walked to the Sushi place, very nice.
