Cozy bed n breakfast , in an orchard / farm/ with an ocean view in North Ireland . 1/2 hour from giant causeway crossing by ferry . Joyce and Marvin are friendly experienced hosts with lots of local anecdotes and great recommendations .Best breakfast served  just like at home  !!!! Thank u both !!!

Stayed her with a friend for two nights.  It was a last minute decision but definitely the right one.  It is a gem of a place and we just loved it. Full of character and so comfortable. Joyce and Mervyn were very welcoming and made us feel right at home.  Really comfortable beds too. Would go back in a heart beat.

I stayed with a group of four others the week of 9/11 to 9/18. I can't say enough about the location and Joyce and Mervyn, who managed this beautiful B&B and working farm. A short 5 minute walk led to the Atlantic Ocean. It was a beautiful thing to see the beach when the sun rose. Breakfast was perfect and the warm peat fire in the evening was most enjoyable and relaxing. We were always accompanied by Finn, the Irish setter, when we went for a stroll. 
I'd strongly recommend anyone interested in seeing the real Ireland to stay at the Trean House.
The wide variety of flower plantings around the house were bright and colorful. 

Joyce and Mervyn were amazing hosts!! Joyce welcomed my family with fresh biscuits and hot Irish tea as soon as we arrived after a long 4 hour drive directly from Dublin. We immediately felt at home at Trean House.  Finn, the on site dog, greeted us as well and a few days later he led us to the beach as soon as we asked him to. My daughter Riley was looking forward to this for several months leading up to our trip. The rooms were furnished nicely and our room had a full bathroom attached with a view of the front driveway. The flowers and garden area were gorgeous and everything was kept immaculately. Joyce’s daily breakfasts were top notch and we left stuffed every morning. Tea and coffee were available in the living room area at all times along with biscuits and tea cookies. There was a fireplace and also a piano which my nephew played for us one evening. Mervyn gave us a tour of where he kept his sheep which was very interesting. I highly recommend Trean House and would stay again in a heartbeat if we were in the area. Great job Joyce and Mervyn!!

Spent a relaxing week at the Trean House. Joyce and her husband Mervyn are the hardest working couple in the B & B industry. My wife and daughter were treated as if we were family. A fresh coment, the pictures do not do the grounds justice. The plants have developed and, are a treat to veiw while dining on Joyces World Famous Breakfast. I miss the Royal treatment I recieved at breakfast as well as Joyce's French pressed coffee. I sorely miss her perfectly formed poached eggs!!! My daughtered misses her cup of tea. Finn is a the resident regal dog who will give you the VIP escort to the beach when you ask him. I tried to send him dog treats from USA but, they didn't make it through customs. Stayed a week and enjoyed every moment. Joyce and her husband were gracious hosts as well as their dog Finn. I loved the breakfast every morning and the setting with all the flowers in bloom were wonderful. Would definitely return when I get back to Ireland.

In this place everything is peaceful. The end of 1800 beautiful house, the marvelous garden, the true farm of which the farmhouse is part,the very nice surroundings, the few walk away local beach. Hosts are kind, breakfast is good, good restaurants are not too far. But you will need few here, except a good book and desire to keep a rest in a relaxing place. We stayed there just a couple of days, but we would have desired to stay more. Kids loved the house dog, who guided us visiting the beach.

Joyce and Mervyn go out of their way to make you feel at home. There is an elegant breakfast every morning in a charming atmosphere, a comfortable sitting room with a peat fire to relax in, spacious bedrooms with great beds for a good nights sleep. The rooms are very tidy. This is all in a pastoral setting with gorgeous flowers and beaches.

Just back today from 3 nights at the B&B with my granny and daughter and we all agree that we would 100% return. From check in to departure everything was perfect. The location is picture perfect and having Finn the dog guide you to the beach is an experience my daughter will remember. The place was spotlessly clean and the rooms very comfortable, the beds possible the comfiest I ever slept in. I don’t remember waking up so refreshed in a long time (if ever). We also loved the open turf fire in the lounge in the evening which knowing we had it to return to quelled our initial desire to spend at least one evening in a local bar listening to trad music. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and plenty of choice.  I have to say I’ve never felt so at home anywhere I’ve stayed.

Really lovely house and garden with beautifully kept rooms at an astonishing price. Full breakfast included in an ideal location to explore in my opion Ireland's most beatifull coast. My first ever shower with a sea view.

A five minute walk to a gorgeous Atlantic Ocean beach sets this B and B apart from others. Visit during different times of the day to see how dramatically the tide changes the beach. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable, the house charming and clean, the owners so friendly. They even offer tours of the property, complete with wellie boots to protect your shoes

Incredible B and B

We had a short but wonderful stay at Trean House earlier this week!  We arrived late due to a little accident and A&D visit with our daughter, but Joyce was more than accommodating!  Mervyn met us and showed us to our room and we took the kids out for a walk to see the sheep.  The family dog, Finn, accompanied us!  The breakfast was amazing - you need to try the brown bread! We walked down to the bay after breakfast and again, Finn joined us and played with the kids. After, Mervyn was so kind to show us the sheep and let the kids feed the sheep.  We loved our stay.
