Ardawn House

This is such a nice B&B in Galway. The rooms are beautiful, and the chocolates on the bed are a nice touch. The rooms are up a flight or two of stairs (which might be an issue for some very mobility challenged), but the hosts will help you with your bags. The breakfast was wonderful (I've attached a picture), and you can choose from a wide variety of delicious dishes. Our host, Dennis (Cavallo) was very friendly and was very happy to share his experiences living in Galway (his colleague, whose name I unfortunately I don't remember, was also very friendly and greeted us on arrived when we arrived quite late from Belfast). Parking is in the front of the accommodation (I've attached a picture) Highly recommended,

Good location, 10-15 walk to center of city. Good sized room. Excellent breakfast. Very welcoming staff and manager Denis.

Being picky, the bedroom toilet door was very sticky and the road noise (room at the front) was very noticeable. The property decor was a little dated.

Best Guest house I have stayed in. Very comfortable bedrooms with bottles of water &. toiletries supplied and the best breakfast with lots of choice also coffee you can help yourself to throughout the day. Close to Eye Square Highly recommend and will definitely be back

The house is just a ten minute walk from the city centre. We received a fabulous welcome on arrival and were shown straight to our room even though we arrived before check in time. The room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The welcome, facilities and level of service would not be out of place in a five star hotel. Wonderful!

The room & bathroom were spotless, & as promised in the listing, it was easy to do a load of laundry in the laundry room off the kitchen. As for the kitchen, this B & B not only has a friendly & efficient manager, but an actual chef who makes each guest's breakfast to order from a small yet well-chosen menu. The omelettes & fresh breads with butter & preserves were delicious, and the manager serves speciality coffees as guests sit down at tables in the attractive breakfast room. It's an easy 12-15 minute walk uphill from the Irish Rail station or bus station. Our room faced east toward College Road but was very quiet at night & caught first light in the morning. It's a very pleasant, welcoming, & well-managed guesthouse.

Excellent guest house. Lovely staff. The manager , whose name I have forgotten, is delightful. Valantina and Anna could not have been more helpful and were lovely. The breakfast was superb and if there is a little wait because the dining area ia busy it is well worth waiting for. The room we stayed in was a little dated but that is irrelevant. Staff and food were excellent. The house very clean. I would recommend Ardawn House for its excellent service and value for money. It is located within easy walking distance of the town centre.

Visiting from Orlando, FL. The hosts were all very friendly and the food was delicious. At breakfast our host was chatting with us about our plans to visit the Kylemore Castle and the Connemara National park when he mentioned it was going to rain in the afternoon. He recommended switching our plans and doing our hike at Connemara first, which turned out to be the best advice!  We completed our hike and indeed it started raining. After the long day we slept peacefully in the comfortable accommodations. Thank you for your hospitality!

Very comfortable beds . Family room was very good. Denis and staff were great hosts and breakfast had such a large variety of food and was delicious. Very near city ctr. About a 10 min walk or less to Eyre sq and the train station. Free parking at B&B

This bed-and-breakfast provided the most comfortable stay of anywhere during our weeklong vacation. The breakfast easily exceeded any of the meals that we had from even some of the largest hotels where we stayed. The location is about 500 m from the train station and about a 10 minute walk from the major shopping. Our only regret if we had not planned more time in Galway, so we could have a longer stay at this bed-and-breakfast.

The  Ardawn House was a fantastic place to stay while visiting Galway.  It was easy to find and use a base while driving around to the many locations in the area and then stepping out at night to walk around the city.  The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. Dennis is a very engaging host and made us comfortable.

Extremely comfortable stay with great breakfast. Very friendly staff!

Oh my, the customer service was amazing! Mario and team were so attentive and engaged. They have a real passion for delivering to notch customer service.  Was a delight to have met them!
The breakfast was amazing as well! Best in all my Irish travels!
Location was a quick 10-15 min walk to Erye Square and all the shops and restaurants. Perfect.
The rooms were very clean and well kept.
The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the noise from the other rooms. I was on first floor and heard every step the people above me took, most problematicly in the middle of the night.
This morning I was awoken by the snoring of someone in the room next to me. Admittedly I am somewhat ofl a ight sleeper, but sleep is to important for me to overlook that one area.

Great location in Galway City

We've not finished our stay here, but the host of this B&B is SO gracious and accommodating! We had a last-minute change, and he handled everything with ease. The location is perfect, and the room was spotless. Laundry facilities are on-site as well, which is fantastic for longer stays/tours of the country. Can't recommend this place enough! Thanks again for being wonderful! 

A lovely experience! 

We had the pleasure of staying two nights at Ardawn House in April 2019.  Very well kept and comfortable room.  Owner's Mike and Breda were friendly and helpful with advice.  Our second night we were the only couple and we were impressed breakfast that morning was the same delicious spread as the first morning when most rooms were rented.  Great location only about a 15 minute walk to downtown.

We would definitely stay at Ardawn House again.
