This place is loud at night time when the other guests of the hostel come home drunk and continues their loud music and partying all throughout the night. Could not sleep through it. The manager doesn’t seem to care about the other guests complains regarding the noise. 
The rooms are average and not cleaned properly 

Loud and dirty 

I stayed in the private room which in itself was clean, neat and comfortable.   I would stay there again for the price and the standard.  

However,  when I went to pay using my visa credit card she made up  story about the machine not working with my card!!! Like I said, it's a Visa credit card accepted all over the world. I came to realise that she just wanted me to pay cash. I didnt have it at that time.

On my last day I had a knock on my room asking me to pay. I gave her my card and guess what, miraculously it was working!! 

Also, when I told her about the leaking air con unit in my room (9) she acted like she didnt know and then ignored the issue. I wouldn't mind except it was   clear from the mould forming on the wall that this has been an ongoing issue for some time. 

The location is about 20 mins walk to the beach and the alley that it's on is pitch black at night. 

Staff are friendly and pleasant.  

Decent accommodation for my 4 nights. 

Had a reasonable stay at this hostel, however I left my swimming trunks and called to arrange to swing by to pick them up. The manager asked me to WhatsApp her which I did, and got no response, my followup message didn't get through which looks to me like I've been blocked. Just weird as there's no reason, and I'm pissed as I'll need to drop £40 to replace these. The hostel itself is average quality. Don't go for a bottom dorm bunk because you'll struggle to sit upright. The staff are good people except from the super sketchy manager.

Not happy at all

A must-see guesthouse! The double rooms are spacious, bright and clean. Special mention for the hyper comfortable beds! The swimming pool is nice. You can use the common kitchen. Very well located, we did everything on foot but you can also rent a scooter to save time.

That's perfect.

I loved BASE! I booked a 6 night stay/surf camp with them and ended up coming back 2 more times throughout my trip.

The surf camp was great. 1 local guide and 1 American and they are both friendly, knowledgable and respectful. They are always in the water with you and give you great tips and guidance. 

The hostel itself is sooo clean, quiet and brand spanking new. The wifi is amazing and works everywhere, the dorms have huge beds with curtains, private plug-ins, towels and amazing A/C. The staff make the beds and clean the rooms every day and there is a kitchen for guests to use. There is great pool and rooftop for sunsets! The main party scene and shopping is about 15 mins walk but you can rent cheap scooters or use the free town bikes anytime. 

The staff are a little tricky to communicate with but they are such lovely people! John who works there is amazing and will help you with anything if you ask. I contacted him on whatsapp several times and he helped me out. :)

Loved my 3 stays at BASE. Thanks for a great time and I hope to see you again soon.

BEST PLACE TO STAY in Canggu

Friendly staff working at the hostel. Dorm rooms are spacious and clean. Good WiFi and nice vibes here as well. They have a pool and kitchen area, and a nice open layout. Would recommend this place to those travelling to Canggu.

Great hostel

Best place to stay in Canggu if you’re looking for a place to socialise with nice people as well as chill out for a while. 
The accomodation is clean and stylish, it’s got a nice pool and John is a really nice guy who’s helping you out whenever you need something. 
I’d definitely recommend it and will be back in a bit. 

Best place in canggu 

The rooms are extremely clean and the bathroom is modern with a warm shower. There is an AC in the room. The courtyard is beautifully designed with a pool that is clean. At night you can always find people here with whom you can drink beer. The doors to the rooms are soundproofed so you can sleep well even when people are sitting outside at night. Only the organization is a little chaotic: you have been asked several times how long you actually stay and if you have already paid. Scooters are available for 60k a day. Borrowing is easy and there is no deposit required.

Good Accommodation

Had a great stay in this hostel. It was very modern. Each bed had a plug and curtains to give you privacy, and a locker with space to hang your clothes also. It was very clean and the beds were nice and comfortable. You get a towel each too. Located around 10 minute walk from lots of good restaurants and bars. The hostel doesn't provide breakfast, but there is a good bakery around the corner that is reasonably priced (Oka's). Free tea and coffee is provided. Overall good location, nicely decorated and clean. They provide a washing service, but it is cheaper to go to the launderette round the corner. Would recommend.

Modern and comfortable

So I never write reviews, ever ever .. EVER. Can't ever be bothered but this hostel has been nothing but home for me. Filled with love, laughter and probably the best beds I have slept in in my 6 months of traveling.(tops my bed at home.. no joke people) 
First of all, the workers are some of the friendliest most helpful staff, welcoming you every time you walk in. Always smiling 
Second, the rooms are always air conditioned, clean, and fresh smelling. The interior of the place is modern and very aseptically pleasing. Outside there is a working kitchen stove, freezer, fridge and oven. Free ice cold water 24/7 with cutlery and tableware available if you want to cook your own food. Then of course the pool is an added  plus. 
Third, the location is prime as it is on the main road but not in the middle of everything so you get your privacy and quiet if need be. 
Let's face it, canggu is incredible but this hostel has made me want to quit my day job back home and flee to canggu. Can't rave about it enough.
