Another fabulous 2 weeks at the Astoria.  To think only a week before they had been devastated by the floods.  It has to be on of the friendliest Hotels I've ever been to.  It's not just the family but the staff also.  Ralph, the families dog, is such a beautiful boy, always brings a smile to your face.  Definitely recommend. 

Fabulous 2 weeks

Stayed at the Astoria during the recent storm
and witnessed the devastation caused by Storm Daniel. The whole team worked tirelessly helping stranded guests and went above and beyond expectations even though there home and business was hit extremely hard. Big thanks to everyone at the Astoria and I hope you have managed to pull things round and survive the season out. Would definitely recommend the Astoria to anyone wishing a peaceful holiday in a great location. Skiathos …… I’m sure you are beautiful.

10/10in adversity

It is a good quality hotel with a nice pool area and welcoming bar.

- Breakfast was more than enough; if you want a "Full English" then this hotel, and perhaps Troulos, isn't the place for vyou
- Bathrooms are small and the shower Greek Style - be prepared to soak the room.  It soon dries out.
- The pool area rarely ran out of sunbeds and the bar does reasonably priced sandwiches and salads for lunch
- Troulos Beach is busy and only a 5 minute walk away. We spent the day by the pool and visited the beach in late afternoon and evening.
- €8/day for the AirCon - build this into your budget, though our room was pretty coll without it.



A good, clean hotel with a nice pool close to the beach

What a beautiful and relaxing holiday we have had whilst staying at the Astoria Hotel. 

There really isn’t a bad word to say, the hotel was clean, peaceful and welcoming. The rooms were a good size, breakfast was lovely with a mix of continental and a few hot options and the lunches were extremely tasty and good value for money. The staff were always smiling and could not do enough for you to make sure your stay was comfortable. 

You feel very welcome the moment you step into the hotel and feel very much welcomed into the family atmosphere they have created. The hotel is peaceful and initimate, no loud music round the pool (in fact no music until lunchtime- perfect for a lazy morning!) and it is ideal for a drink before heading out for dinner in the evening. Ralph, the family dog could be seen doing his rounds in the morning by the pool and loved the attention of all the holiday makers! 

The hotel is ideally located, 2 mins from Bus Stop 20 and the supermarket, 5 mins from Troulos Beach and around 10 minute walk into Troulos village. The bus to Skiathos Town was very busy but was just a 20 minute journey for €3. 

I would not hesitate to stay here again- in fact we are looking to return next year, it is a very special place and very charming!

11 nights still wasn’t long enough...

We are a family of 6 just coming to the end of a two week stay in this hotel. We have visited this island before so I am basing my review on that fact. The hotel itself is one of the smaller hotels but that dues give it a more family feel, I also believe that the main family who run it, mum dad, two sons and daughter do like it that way. The rooms are quite large and comfortable beds. A/c is extra but worth it. Staying in an upstairs room overlooking the garden. It’s a quiet nights sleep as the bar area never gets really busy and is not a focus of the younger drinking culture. There is no restaurant at this hotel but a lot of them are close within walking distance. Ralph the family dog is very friendly and wants to say hello to everyone. Their lunch’s are really good and the cocktails are better. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. Troullos Beach is an easy walk directly opposite. The bus stop is just 2 min walk away, the bus gets very busy in the evenings. A lovely experience overall I would really recommend it.

Coming to the end

This was a good hotel the first time we stayed here and it has improved somewhat. The rooms aren’t large but have been improved, the bathroom is not the biggest but there was plentiful hot water.
Selection at breakfast isn’t large but there’s a bit of variety each day.
The pool area is nice and the pool bar is great, ably manned by Manos an co.
The hotel is a short stroll from the lovely Troulos beach.
Its a small, but very friendly, hotel and I would happily have another holiday here.

Great stay

We stayed here in 2018 so came back as we enjoyed it so much . Great location close to the beach clean comfortable room the bathroom was a bit small but no real problem , it has a lovely pool and bar area  warm friendly staff  very helpful . Excellent breakfast  . We met some lovely people including Ralph the family dog . We will definitely be back

Lovely family run hotel

We called at the pool bar at the Astoria a couple of times during our stay in Troulos. The staff were brilliant, food and cocktails and choice of beers were fabulous. The kids loved the pool and it looks a lovely place to stay and close to the beach. Go to this pool bar for a lovely day.

Excellent pool bar with a great vibe

Lovely staff, very clean, peaceful, perfect location.Great bar.Food was served until 3pm so no evening meals but so many local restaurants within walking distance, also used hotel almeria next door where my family were staying.

Perfect stay

We’ve just got back from a weeks stay in Astoria , we’ve had a lovely time there, the staff are really lovely, the rooms are cleaned every day, not massive size but great for a week. Lots of space to hang your clothes, small clean size bathroom and comfy beds. 
Drinks in the bar are great, beach is 5min walk away. 
Pool is nice size and the bar and pool area is very relaxing. 
Breakfast is ok only fresh watermelon and tinned peaches for fruit with Greek yoghurt , toast ,meat, cheese and a bit of hot breakfast like mini hotdogs and scrambled eggs and mushrooms, toast and some packet cake slices so basic quality but lots of choice. I’m a coffee addict and the coffee wasn’t great (Nescafé self service machine) but you can get better coffee at other places.
We were on the ground floor, nice and quiet but not much sun to dry any towels, but on the plus side nice and cool so we didn’t need the a/c ( an extra daily charge I think €8 per day)
Nothing much in troulos, just a few nice restaurants in walking distance but you have to go into the only town on the island to get more variety. 
The main road is busy to get to local restaurants and not many pavements to walk on. 
The local bus is very near by to go everywhere on and only €2 
Local beach is great. 
Overall a great little family run hotel, clean, friendly and I would recommend it for good value 2* .
