Santa Tecla

Very attentive since the time of booking, I visited it for one night and was amazed by the cozy and unique atmosphere they offer from the main door to the smallest details, this one is open 24 hours a day, they have hot water in the showers and that's very good, the room is very comfortable and cozy.

An excellent option with a perfect location.

Excellent care cleaning good WiFi hot water TV cozy nice rest areas views excellent beds near shopping malls food businesses near bus routes parks and churches very nice and safe zone.

I am fascinated by this hotel because it is strategically located where you can reach old friends you haven't seen in years. In addition, I also come here because from this cozy hotel, I stay close to other places to spend time. For the mountaineer we have near the boquerón and for the surfers the beaches are only 15 minutes away from this comfortable and comfortable hotel. I will be there next Sunday, April 9, as I have done other times for these same times... Saludos, doña Itzel. Pretarios del hostal!!

The accommodation was good, the kitchen was very clean, the attention to us was very professional and kind, Emilia and Victor made us feel at home, thank you for all the friends!! we recommend this place 👍

Close to San Salvador and the beaches of La Libertad and other places of interest.

Very good location, close to different attractions in Santa Tecla, its hospitality is one of the most relevant characteristics of this place, its tranquility and it provides you with the necessary information to visit different attractions of El Salvador.

Hospitality and excellent location

A small entrace next to a big blue door guards this jewel. Clean, well located and the incredible staff makes this place the option in the area. The next morning i met the owner, and is as friendly as the man in charge of the hotel. 
Since Santa Tecla is only 20 min from San Salvador by taking the bus 101, and prices are higher in the city, if i ever come back i will sleep here rather than in San Salvador itself.
I highly recommend this place.

The plce to stay for Santa tecla...and San Salvafor

I owe my very positive experience in El Salvador to Emelia, the amiable owner of Hotel Casa de Izel. My stay there was just what I hoped for: first and foremost I felt safe, which is key in El Salvador, given its grim crime statistics and the country’s (unfair) reputation. The hotel's location plays an important role in this: Santa Tecla itself is known as being a safe place to walk around, even at night. And what fun nights they are at all the outdoor restaurants! Casa de Izel is short walking distance from them. Also playing a role, of course, was Emelia, who makes you feel right at home. The other way that she contributed to my happy experience in El Salvador was that I hired her as a tour guide for five private day tours. She was a perfect guide--knowledgeable, smart, organized, upbeat, and connected--and she is such a tireless advocate of her country. Her tours weren’t cheap, but they are a good value because I got a safe, insider view to the country, and I felt as I was touring with a local friend. Know, however, that Casa de Izel has pretty basic rooms, but they are sufficiently clean and there are airy common spaces in the hotel for hanging out.

A Gem of a Place and a Gem of a City

We had a nice stay at La Casa de Izel. It's a great location 2 short minutes to the Main Street (Paseo el Carmen).   

Overall Pros:
-Great location
-Friendly owner/staff
-Safe
-Clean
-Hot water

Cons:
-There is no AC.  Even just a $5 fan would have made all the difference.
-We were never offered breakfast. It was suppose to be offered.
-Our key only opened our bedroom. We couldn't get into the house without knocking. 
-Very loud street noises. Perhaps an interior room is more quiet. We had a street side room.

Overall, I would probably still stay here again. The location is just awesome!

Great location

we chose Santa Tecla as it is infinitely safer than San Salvador, the accommodation is secure with a full kitchen, hot water, clean and comfortable basic rooms and  beautiful balconies and rooftops to enjoy with a glass of wine in the evenings. There are several bars and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and the staff are so friendly and approachable. There is also a little shop next door called 'cheap and trendy' that sells vintage and designer clothing in which I bought two Vera Wang dresses and a Valentino sweater for €5 a piece! The owner Emelia was also able to store a bag for us for two weeks and arrange all of our onward travel as we needed a 5am departure and were arriving at night. It is easy to visit San Salvador city without staying there and any onward travel can be organised form Santa Tecla. We loved having the luxury of walking around, visiting the local markets and enjoying the town without any of the danger associated with San Salvador.

Great accommodation option in Santa Tecla

I was planning visiting San Salvador but instead another traveler told me about santa Tecla a small place, closer to the ruins of joya de ceren and san andres, as well as San Salvador vulcano, I tried Santa Tecla planning to saty two nights I end up staying a whole week. love the location it is absolutely safe to walk at night to the different bars and restaurants also close from the supermarket and local market pick up your supper fixings. And Emilia always seems available to answer questions when you need her, with a smile on his face. This is definitely the place to stay in Santa Tecla
