SimpleBed Hostel

This was a last minute deal and we found it super cheap. We expected a normal, low-quality hostel but this one was more than expected. We stayed in the private room. It is small, with private bathroom and shared kitchen, but it has everything you might need from a hostel. Plus it has free Netflix!

I stayed for around 10 days over the summer. The owners keep it VERY clean. This hostel was very affordable, and in a great location. They are interested to help you around the city. I couldn't have had a better experience there.

We really enjoyed this hostel! Traveling as a couple on a budget, we were positively surprised by the big dorm beds. The common area is very basic, but has a you need (and more, actually: a TV with netflix!). It was very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equiped with a stove, oven and all you need for cooking and there's a really big fridge. Service is non existant as the hostel is run from a distance, so you have to be prepared yourself. 
Downside: only one bathroom (toilet + shower) for 6 dormbeds and 1 private room, and only 4 lockers for those 6 dorm beds.
The location is superb, I would definitely recommend but not so likely return as Aarhus isn't that interesting for a second visit ;-)

I stayed for one night on a recent trip to Denmark. The tiny hostel (just 6 beds) is located in a residential building next to the river in a good central part of the town, a short walk (10 mins) to the station, cathedral and the Den Gamle By museum (luggage lockers available at the station if you don’t want to lug all your luggage). The hostel works on a self-check-in basis which worked well. The dormitory had some of the largest bunks I’ve come across which were very comfortable! Plenty of food options nearby or kitchen facilities available in the hostel. Good shower and nice living room.

Excellent small hostel in Aarhus

Better than what you might expect for a hostel

Best Hostel I've ever been to.

This was an absolutely awful experience. The pics looked nice so decided to give it a try, however a lot of noise, dirty place, people sleep like in a refugee camp. I kindly recommend other travellers to not fall for the price tag of this place, but give a little more and have some pleasant sleep. There are a lot of lovely places in Denmark, however this is really not one of them.

Horrible place

I was threatened by the owner of the Hostel (Isabelle), to get prosecuted if I posted a bad review so I will leave out the details.
After sleeping at this place, I woke up with itchy marks on my body, now 3-4 weeks later I have noticeable scars on my body. I told the owner about the issue, but I got an arrogant reply that it was not from their hostel and after two weeks of correspondence she later called it a scam, even though there was nothing in it for me, other than some horribly itchy marks on my body.

I will not recommend anyone to sleep in this hostel, I have slept a lot of places in different countries, but never in my life have I experienced something like this.

Stay away from this hostel for your own sake!

Will not sleep there if I got paid for it!

I think Aarhus is a nice city, but I should have found another place. Way too cramped in and only one bathroom with very slippery floor and god is it busy in the morning, you have to wait for all the other people who also needs to use that one bathroom.
