Hotel is situated at good location directly at main square. Standard rooms with standard service is enough for 1 overnight stay. Unfortunately the noise isolation is bad and you know about "night live" in hotel. The breakfast was poor, but enough for quick morning energy. Clean room and hotel.

Very nice rooms overlooking the street leading to the castle. Very clean room.Good breakfast.: sausage, scrambled eggs, apple juice, orange juice..............ideal for a battlefield tour.Easy to park in front of the hotel

an excellent step

We stayed here three nights for a wedding. The family room was nice, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel is on the main high street so easy access to the shops, castle etc.
Breakfast was ok but the basic continental food, served until 10. However the fried eggs were cold!!! No English breakfast tea available but I'm not in England so shouldn't expect it, it's just that black tea is often an option wherever I've been in the world. 
What I was disappointed by mainly was that everyday we had a freezing cold shower because I am assuming the rest of the people in the hotel got their's first! I was told I'd have to try again later one day. Also the shower head was so poor it was spraying water in all directions! So bearing in mind we were there for a wedding it's not pleasent to wash your hair in very cold water flying all over. We decided not to make our son have a shower for three days instead he washed with cold water at the sink. 
Also there was no complementary soap. I have never been to a hotel where there's no available.
Like I said it's a shame about these things. 
The restaurant downstairs called Wings provided really good quality food and loads to choose from. There was alot of wedding guests there with us at the weekend and they all enjoyed the food and had nice rooms.
A couple of adjustments and this hotel could shoot up the rankings. I would stay again if I new the issues had been addressed.


Nice rooms but a couple of things let it down

A pretentious hotel that has the merit of being right in the city centre of Austerlitz. Medium comfort, a little old-fashioned decoration. Enough for one night, especially since the fare is very affordable.

Good for one night

The dishes are tasty and well served, the service is fast, the waitresses are especially friendly, a good restaurant to recommend in this small town, you can even park in front of the restaurant.

To visit the area of the battle of Austelitz we stopped at this hotel where we found a very courteous staff a good service and a cozy restaurant with a well-assorted menu. Clean rooms and in a nice position (paid parking very close to the entrance). Beautiful the atmosphere of the restaurant room with Napoleonic prints on the walls. Recommended as a starting point for a tour of the places where the battle took place (very pleasant tour with many points of historical interest well highlighted by the local structures with planters and signs written in languages). Tour recommended to all lovers of Napoleonic history.

A Visit to Austerlitz

This establishment deserves to exist right in the centre of the small village of Austerlitz, currently Sokolsky Dum It is located on the central square, two steps from the magnificent castle, made famous by the battle of the same name, which had given glory to Emperor Napoleon I. The entrance to the hotel is very difficult to find, you have to pass the porch (to the right of the building) and get into a private courtyard, to finally find the reception hall after having climbed a little to the left... The establishment is of the same decoration, as its decoration and its equipment, but the favorable quality is all the same price. The real problem is communication.
