Very few negatives here! I added one of the staff on WeChat, who spoke fluent English, and she helped us with pretty much everything while we were here. The rooms are somewhat basic, but has what you need to survive for a few nights, ie, a bed, a shower and very good air conditioning. The laundry service is available, but I would advise going to the nearby dry cleaners; they wash and press your clothes pretty swiftly. There are a few restaurants and pubs within walking distance (I highly recommend the 1903 bar, a 5 minute walk) and some decent restaurants. If you’re one to look for negatives, then it’s a little far from the good beaches of Qingdao (which are 15 minutes in a taxi), taxis are a little harder to get than, say, Yantai or Beijing. But, I must say that the overriding thing here is how good the staff are. If you’re looking for somewhere that won’t break the bank and has a little more character than the chain hotels, I’d recommend coming here. We’d happily come back.
