Regrettably it seems the Inn is closed for the season.  That's OK; their perogative.
But they keep coming up on many search engines, with no indication they are shut.  Just says "contact the property" .
We attempted that by e-mail with no response and telephone (number not in service).
Please manage this differently / better guys, to reduce frustration for folks like us.  We would have loved to stay with you.

Not contactable: Frustrating!!!

This house and grounds can only be described as "grand." The large house was built in 1864 and the host Martin told us of its interesting history. They have restored it to its full glory as well as modernizing with ensuite bathrooms etc. Our room was large and comfortable and there was a comfortable lounge for evening visiting or reading. Breakfast was very good with fresh juice, excellent coffee and very good Eggs Benedict. 

Beautifully restored home built in 1864!

The Morton House Inn is a lovely older home with an amazing view of the river. The grounds are well kept and the breakfast was delicious in the morning. Beds were just ok and cleanliness for my standards was just ok as well. Host was friendly and accommodating. A coffee machine in the room would have been appreciated, for early risers like myself, waiting until breakfast is served for coffee isn’t ideal ! Good for a quick overnight visit ! 

Lovely view and breakfast 

We loved The Morton House Inn. It was clean, beautiful, amazing grounds and the breakfast was perfect with fresh fruit and eggs Benedict. Martin was an excellent host. We loved the porch swing, sitting by the fish pond and eating dinner in the beautiful gazebo.

Amazing!!!

We stayed in the motel portion, which consists of 3 units and does not include breakfast.  The units have more of a cottage feel rather than motel and are equipped with aa small fridge, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and dishware for 4. The unit had two double beds that were a bit older but not completely uncomfortable. The bathroom is also a bit dated but very large.  The room came with a fan but no air conditioner so it was very warm on the dates we stayed. All in all, a nice place to stay.

Very quiet

We booked at the last minute and were very well received by the landlord, the house and the rooms are beautiful, the breakfast is excellent and balanced, we had a room overlooking the garden and the river

That's great.

The room was cozy and quaint. A good place to rest after a long day of driving. The location is close to a couple of great restaurants. Will go back next summer to appreciate the view of the Mersey River. The high winds and heavy rains the days we stayed hampered getti ng out to enjoy the view.

A good spot on a stormy night

We stayed in Unit #5 in the back motel units with our dog. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the room and surroundings. I loved waking up to the crisp cool breezes and nature right outside the door. I also liked the two walls of windows that bathed the room with afternoon sunlight. Very cozy for us. 
PS: The blue bathroom fixtures were a bonus.

Loved staying at The Morton House

we took a trip and decided to stay in Liverpool ,found the Morton House Inn on line and decided to pop in to see oi they had rooms left,we needed 2 rooms as there was another couple and ourselves.From the moment the door was answered by Martin we was intrigued by this beautiful restored property. Rooms were very clean and large everything you needed was there .The next morning we was treated to an amazing breakfast of fresh fruit ,fresh orange juice and amazing eggs bennedict. we enjoyed our stay termendously .

Last Minute stay

This place is a hidden gem. We didn't know what to expect since we never stayed at a B&B before.  When we entered the house the guys Martin and Milton came right out and greeted us introducing themselves.  I felt very comfortable right away. The rooms were very lovely. The house may be an older one but very well kept with large rooms and all the modern conveniences. The breakfast was outstanding with plenty of coffee, fresh fruit, homemade muffins, yogurt, and eggs benedict done to perfection. I would stay again and recommend even if it is a little out of town.
