We rented a cottage from Friday to Sunday for a snowmobile trip. We had such a great time with our German Shepherd Pup that we decided to stay an additional night. The owners are so friendly and accomidating. The cabins are clean, spacious, and warm. And you have direct access to groomed snowmobile trails that will take you directly to the Highlands.  
One of the highlights from our trip, was meeting their adorable pup, Whiskey. He is super friendly and loves  to come for a visit and play. 
Thanks again for making our much needed getaway, an enjoyable one. 
We will continue to recommend you and we will definitely be back!!!

Highly Recommended!

Pretty location for use as a base to see the Cabot Trail.  Peaceful, quiet setting. The cottage we used had a toaster oven as opposed to a full oven. The barbecue was due for replacement. Otherwise, a nice place to crash and get rested. Great wifi and TV compatable with ROKU stick. Owners are nice, trustworthy. 

Great Stopover Place

The staff was friendly and helpful, the cottage I stayed in was clean, well-equipped and comfortable. There was a nice view over the ocean. And as a bonus it is one of the few family-run accommodations in the area with a (free) EV charging station. Why spend more on a bland corporate hotel?

All you could want for a reasonable price from a family-run business

We rent the Cameron House and a few cottages. They are very accommodating and friendly. Everything is always clean and the beds are comfortable. They are only a few kilometres from Baddeck. Cameron house has 3 bedrooms. One king bedroom with an en-suite on the main floor plus a queen room on the second floor with a room with two single beds.  It also has a full kitchen.

Work stay

Lovely stay! And gorgeous views. The weather was great and we had such a fun time out at the campfire. The hosts were so accommodating. We’ll definitely come again soon! Couldn’t have asked for a nicer weekend.

Beautiful views!

Stayed here last year for a weekend of snowmobiling in Cape Breton. Enjoyed the cottages and location so much that we came back again this year!

The owners are very friendly and accommodating. 

Snowmobile trails lead right into the parking lot so no need to trailer your snowmobile after arriving. Lots of parking available as well for vehicle and trailer!

Stayed in a two bedroom cottage (#5) - it was very clean and is well appointed with everything you need. 

Looking forward to returning next winter, if not sooner!

Great for Snowmobilers

We had a family member admitted to the local hospital so we chose to stay at McIntyre Cottages.  We wanted a pet friendly location with privacy. The cottage was immaculate and cozy. I particularly liked the fireplace. To sit and read or rest my eyes. We liked that we had access to a barbecue and kitchen to prepare our own supper and breakfast.  Being close to Tim Hortons and the hospital was convenient. The only negative was we were next to a couple with a baby and we had a frisky 5 month old puppy that we were trying to keep quiet so we wouldn’t disturb the baby. It was off season so it would have been nice to put us in a different cabin. 

The view from our cabin was amazing and the owners were very kind and friendly.  We have already recommended and we plan to return.

Last Minute 

I have stayed at McIntyre's Cottages on two different occasions for about a week each time. The cottage we stayed in was more than comfortable - it felt like a home away from home! It was decorated for Christmas and the gas fireplace made it nice and cozy. 

The staff are super friendly and very helpful. The view is amazing - it overlooks the Bras d'Or Lakes. I would love to stay there again, next time in the summer. I highly recommend McIntyre's in Baddeck Inlet!

Comfortable cottage; beautiful view

Had a great 2 night stay in cottage #4..with available early checkin -very appreciated as we had flown the redeye into Halifax and had driven for 3 hours.
Cottage was equipped with coffee and tea for us (and equipped kitchen) and added bonus was electric fireplace which quickly took the chill off in the morning
Bed was comfortable and unit was clean

Comfortable cottage with amazing view of lake

We took a road trip in January around the province, and this was the best cottage on our way. The cottage looked into the Bras d`Or Lake and we could watch bald eagles. The room was clean and enough big to our huge dog too. We could BBQ on the patio during the snowstorm, while we sipped mulled wine. Just loved it. We are definitely going back, strongly recommended place!
