Simply beautiful. The buildings are on a hillside, with a view of the Bras D'Or. It was lovely to watch the sunset, and then wake up to the incredible views.

Our unit was everything we could have hoped for. It was well equipped and spacious. We were impressed by the windows, and that they could open in different ways, depending on the weather and temperature. And Roland was an excellent host and made us feel very comfortable.

I would highly recommend staying here when visiting Cape Breton. 

Stunning views

Friendly staff, lovely accommodations, clean and well kept. Easy access to the Cabot Trail, Baddeck, local attractions. We have stayed with Roland & his family a number of times and will return again, whenever we are in the area.

Another Enjoyable Stay on the Cabot Trail

A 1BR apartment here was an ideal choice for 2 of us for 3 nights during the Celtic Colours festival.

The Chalets are on the Cabot trail about 10 minutes east of Baddeck.  As the name suggests, they are on a hillside and have a gorgeous view of the countryside (and autumn colours - though not of Bras D'Or Lake).  I think there are about 12 rooms in all;  there were 4 in our building.  The entrance is well-lit and easy to find coming home after an evening out.

The apartment was clean and comfortable and well-equipped (including bedding, bath linens, dishes, dish soap, tea towels, etc.).  The bed was a "euro-style", meaning two beds pushed together - good for sleeping if one partner bounces.  As a housekeeping room, your room is not serviced (bedding, towels, etc.) unless you make a request at the desk.

One morning we spent an hour rambling along some of the trails on the property.  They were well maintained, meandering through forests and fields - great way to stretch your legs.

Ideal accommodation on the Cabot trail, 10 minutes from Baddeck

Located on the Cabot Trail, about a mile/two kms above the main road into Baddeck.  Very nice facility for a multi-day stay.  Big fridge, outdoor grill, etc.  Property also has several marked trails in the woods (remember to bring bug spray).  TV only in the front room.  Internet is ilffy--not good for watching video stream.  (If that's important then what are you doing in Cape Breton Island?)  Entrance to property is a narrow gravel road, so if you have an oversized vehicle you shouild go somewhere else.  Owner is very friendly.

Good base for exploring Cape Breton Island

Lovely place, rustic but nice and clean.  Beds were comfortable and the owners were very pleasant.
Loved the outdoor patio overlooking the beautiful grounds which were well kept.
Would stay here again.

Lovely place

Myself and 2 friends stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage with a hideabed.  It was perfectly clean and well stocked with everything we needed.  The bathroom was a very good size too with lots of hot water.  We were originally following a GPS but when we saw the posted signs we followed them instead.  Good thing, cause I don’t know where my GPS would have taken us, but it was not to where the cottage was located.  There were nice trails to walk around the property.  The cottages were ideally located for driving the Cabot Trail.  Great stay.

Wonderful place

Loved everything about the place - especially location. Feels like a slice of Switzerland but with its own charm. Great host and ample space for a family of three. Easy to get on to the highway and a short distance from the nearby town. 

Amazing location

It is a huge area, with several paved walking paths, on which in the vicinity of the owner's residence there are a total of 12 residential units. On the one hand, these are a series of intersecting houses and on the other hand a large house with 2 floors and more holiday apartments. We had a 2 bedroom apartment in the large house (with hangers) and were impressed by the size of our premises. Spacious, beautiful chalets with a dream view and hiking trails

We arrived on a cold fall day and were so pleased to find a nice warm cabin all ready for us. The property is very well maintained and our cabin was spotlessly clean. Being there on a very rainy day was great - we were able to bring in some groceries for lunch and enjoy a quiet afternoon watching some TV. If you want to eat out, it is about a 15 minute drive to town. Our host was most friendly and quite helpful in pointing us in the right direction for dinner. Be prepared for European style beds - two mattresses for a King bed and separate duvets for each mattress but very warm and comfortable.

Great Stay!

The owner Roland is very friendly. It all starts with a visit or everything is explained with a smile. If you're looking for calm and quiet it's perfect. You have to think about some little things the calm is that nothing is accessible except by car to see a few kilometers.
