The Stone Gate Inn Bed & Breakfast

We stayed at The Stone Gate Inn from Oct. 3 - 7, 2019 and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The hosts (Kim and Terry) are warm and welcoming and their B&B is nicely situated south of Calgary - it is only a 12 KM (i.e., 10-minute car ride) to various amenities such as restaurants and shopping. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the room we stayed in was even nicer than the photos depicted on their website. We stayed in the "Serenity Suite" and it had a large extremely comfortable king-sized bed, a great view of the gardens, windows that opened with screens and a shower and deep soaker/jetted tub. The Serenity Room also had a very large walk-in closet with a multitude of storage options, which worked perfectly for us because we had a lot of cold weather clothing and luggage we needed to store. The breakfasts provided were continental in style and included eggs, a variety of breads, preserves, cereals and an excellent selection of assorted pastries, and fresh fruit salad as well as yogurts and cheeses. We were visiting for a wedding and members of the wedding party rented out the entire establishment, the bride took one of the suites and used it for pre-wedding photos and invited members of her immediate family and bride’s maids for a champagne toast reception prior to heading to the wedding venue. We truly appreciated the kindness of our hosts and enjoyed mixing and mingling with family and friends under one roof. If our travels take us back to Calgary, we would stay at this establishment again and we will absolutely recommend The Stone Gate Inn to our family and friends!
