This was my first time in Botswana and Moghotlo Safari Lodge was the best way to kick of an amazing trip.

Food was next level and staff is friendly and always ready with anything you need.

Must say I have never had a better few in a bathroom than at Moghotlo's Main area.

Loved the Hippos passing the rooms in the river with their snoring sound and crocks just laying around sun bathing.

And the Bush dinner will most definitely stay close to my heart. 

Thank you everyone for making this a memorable stay and Duma thank you for all your knowledge and for putting up with us you are a super star. 

What an Amazing Experience 

Great safari lodge with fabulous service and guides. The food was ok and adequate but not a patch on the other Hideaways lodge at Camp Kazuma.  Lots of wildlife in the area and we saw everything during our 3 night stay. Kayser was the most amazing guide and caring, friendly with a great sense of humour who anticipated our every need. He really made the experience for us. 

Great safari lodge on Khwai River Botswana

Each high end tented lodge is separate from the others but directly connected with the bush.  Ours had a wonderful river view where we could watch Cape Buffalo and hippos come down into the river to drink and feed.  The staff was always friendly, helpful, and welcoming.  The very best part of the experience, however, was the numerous safari drives with our tracker Kaiser where we saw the most amazing variety of wildlife -- elephants, lions with their kill, a cheetah, hyenas with their cubs, herds of different types of deer, impalas, and wildebeest, many zebras and giraffes, warthogs, and birds -- his skill at locating wildlife was impressive.

Incredible bush experience

I have been in this lodge 2 days with my sons. I liked the style, the view and the staff. But in particular the surrounding area was amazing small rivers, lakes, wildlife was all there! Lions with cubs, a family of hyenas, antelopes, giraffes, wildebeests, bison… beautiful!

Best safari lodge experience we had in Southern Africa. Outstanding facilities and service, worthwhile safari experience. These people have done something extraordinary here. Nothing else came close. Strongly recommended.

Best safari lodge

Just magic from the moment Kurt picked up at the airport. We saw animals enroute to the lodge and there were elephants grazing on the bank of the river opposite the lodge on arrival. Actually, there were regularly animals passing through the river / riverbank opposite our hotel throughout our entire stay. We saw sooo many different animals again and again and again through out our stay - herds of elephants, troops of giraffes, a pack of baby hyenas, pods of hippos, packs of wild dogs, too many types of deer-ish animals to count - it was an amazing experience. A huge thank you to Kurt our guide for finding them all!
Brendon and Andrew run a fantastic friendly luxury lodge. When I was feeling sick from the malaria tablets, they were kind and sympathetic. The bartender kindly played chess with my teenager in his spare time. It was an amazing team with top quality service (from the moist towels on each arrival back at the lodge to the hot water bottles in our beds at night. The lodge itself is newly renovated and just perfect. The food and drinks were excellent.
I can’t say enough amazing things about Kurt our guide! He knew everything AND had a great sense of humour. Even my teenagers loved him! He taught us so much, we saw so many animals and was truly the best guide we had throughout our entire trip through Botswana, South Africa and beyond. Kurt was patient, cared about the animals and new where to find. Truly the best - thank you!
The rooms are very comfortable safari tents which have been newly renovated.
Logistics - the airport pickup from Maun took 2+ hours, the wifi was 7-7pm, showers are hot and you can safely drink the water at camp. The tents are the perfect combination of safari-tent and luxury. The only frustration was the Hideaways support team who answered my questions incorrectly on things like logistics and drinking water. (note the site has free drinking water readily available for all - all-inclusive or not) We came very close to booking elsewhere - but I am so glad we didn't.
This is a truly magical lodge in a magical part of the world. The animals, the team, it all! We can’t recommend it strongly enough. Thank you for having us!


Just magical - newly renovated and the service and location are exceptional!

Trying to describe our experience at Mogotlho Lodge, leaves me at a loss of words. How can one describe awesome except with the word awesome. 
Mogotlho management and staff go way beyond the extra mile. What an amazing experience! Forever inprinted in memory. It will be difficult for any place, any staff and especially any management team to surpass what we experienced on two different occasions at Mogotlho Lodge. Forever thank you to the exceptional management and great staff.

We were guests, 3 pairs, with 3 terrain cars from Khwai Camp on the way to Savuti. On the way there was a car. There was no repair on the spot because it was in the middle of the bush. The mechanic sent by Maun was stuck in the sand and had to stay there in the car. A randomly passing truck with staff from SKL Natural Park Management Moremi dragged us into the lodge. Although we were not registered, we were greeted with a friendly welcome. The manager of the lodge offered us an emergency prize with dinner. We spent a great evening directly with very friendly people. All staff of the lodge were at the top. The lodge is a paradise. The tent is the most beautiful with giant views. The view of the mountain was also very nice. The owner of the lodge was able to return to the mountain with a great view of the river.

A paradise in the Moremi NO

The wildlife this lodge has right on it's doorstep is just mindblowing. The guides are amazingly talented and know everything about the bush and can always help with anything. The bar staff were super interactive and a joy to be around. Having the staff perform a traditional African dance before dinner was an experience on it's own

Best Wildlife experience

Stayed here for 3 nights and probably the best game viewing on our whole trip, considering November falls in the Green season. But that was another highlight, traversing through lush greenery, not knowing what animals you'll encounter at each turn.

The staff were friendly and rooms decorated beautifully. Beds were super comfy!

They are also solar powered! (Not for those who are energy conscious)

My personal highlight was the Mokoro trip - floating along the water - a great way to view wildlife. They even gave us water lily necklaces, cute touch.
