Oasisa Hotel

I’ll start by saying that we felt this should have been a one star review, but there were a couple of better bits. We arrived in a taxi to find a bit of paper stuck on the door saying closed for renovations, we had booked the hotel 4 days earlier. After some knocking and bell ringing someone came to the door and grudgingly let us in, the place looked like a building site and it did not improve from there. The room was clean so this was a bonus but it was small and there was no natural light, just a tiny window over a central hall/courtyard. Breakfast, which was included, was a disgrace. The scrambled eggs had been cooked an hour earlier and left sitting on the buffet in a bowl, and the list goes on. They advertised laundry service, tour service and daily room service, all fabrications of someone’s mind because they certainly did not exist on our visit, although they did hold our luggage for a couple of days. The reason for 2 stars, the room was clean and the interior of the building quiet beautiful, it has so much potential that with some friendly,  courteous and helpful staff and the renovations currently being undertaken, it could be a great place.

Excellent price, exquisite room (the bed is amazing!!) Daniel and all the staff are very helpful.The only downside is that the hot water sometimes causes problems and that it is a little too late, but Uyuni is small.I would definitely stay here again.And the price is amazing for an excellent service!!

I'm very happy with it.

I stayed 3 nights in this hostel, when I returned from the salar de Uyuni tower. There is also a terrace where you can wash your clothes, either immediately (5min walking) to the central square of Uyuni, which is anyway a small town. The reception is at the entrance. There are a few chairs and sofas where you can wait until check-in time if necessary, as well as the day to eat that serves breakfast. There is also a terrace where you can wash your clothes, either for free by hand, or at the machine for 7 Bs (non-containing douche) and dry them to the kids.

Hostel that could be great... if the bathrooms were better

This was the only place we stayed at in Peru and Bolivia that had a heated room and that served eggs in the morning. Even when there were heating problems outside of the hotel's control, the owner lent us a space heater for the night. I highly recommend to rest up before and after the salt flat tours.

Great hotel

The room is nice, and big enough for 2 people. The room was a little chilly and we had warm clothes to wear to keep us warm. We didn't know if there were heaters. The lady who was working couldn't speak much English. The hotel is safe and there is a staff member working at night to let you in if you arrive late. It was a great place to stay in Uyuni, and the staff were helpful in getting taxis. Some of the staff didn't speak English, but we were able to use google translate. The breakfast was good and simple. If you want hot water, you have to let them know what time and they will turn it on. The small town is walkable for everything. We had dinner at a Pizza place 5 min from the hotel. Thank you!

Good room to stay in

The hotel is pleasant, with no luxuries a few blocks from downtown.When we left we were the only guests so the stay was strange, it is a large hotel, with a common space with armchairs and quite clean.The breakfast was quite complete and fresh prepared by the person in charge of everything, who was very kind to us throughout the stay.

Uyuni is not a tourist Mecca but Oasis a Blanco is as close to an oasis that you can find in the dusty town.  The room was clean and a small electric heater was provided but the cord was very short and we were worried about how close the heater was to the bed (only one outlet accessible  in the room). The Wi-Fi was OK and breakfast was very nice with Patricia preparing fresh scrambled eggs. She did indeed try to make our stay pleasurable.

Probably the best in Uyuni

Uyuni is in the middle of a rapid expansion because of its success in tourism and it appears there isn't much planning for this growth.  Hotels are spread out all over town, so it was nice to have a location that was both quiet and close to town.  Manager, Patricia Porcel, speaks good English and is wonderfully helpful with any problems.  The free breakfast is adequate and a step above normal for this priced hotel.  The hotel requires payment in cash (as did all establishments I came in contact with in this town), but the management will work with you in different combinations of currency to get your bill paid.  The hotel was very clean, but could occasionally be a little noisy since they opted to go without rugs in the hallways (I'm thinking making it easier to clean in this dusty town).  My wife and I felt that on the whole this was very good value for your money.

Convenient & Friendly

After a three-day salt desert tour, I wanted to find a slightly nicer hotel. When I got to the hotel, I had already struggled with the front door. The lady at the reception was nice. The lobby was generous and bright. I got room number 11 on the first floor. Unfortunately, it was very dark and there was only a small window to the staircase. Also, it was quite cold inside, the small electric heater wasn't working. I reported it and I got a device that looked like a fan. It made so much noise and didn't bring anything back that I gave it back well. I had slept, however. It was quite a disappointment, there was no bread or toast. Coffee at an early station, and I had to leave a small window in a car, and I had to show myself that it was working well before the start of the tour.

Dark and cold room, welcome

Breakfast is very good buffet: ham, egg, bread, cereal biscuits jus the cafe milk... the staff are very kind! we were able to stay in the lobby of the hotel all afternoon (using wifi of the couches and toilets) when we were waiting for the night bus for peace The bed is large and correct The bed is good Only we had almost tiede milk... never hot...
