Notarishuys "Pure Hotel"

Only four rooms, a surprising modern architecture and soothing views of the garden, that is my impression. The main house on the busy avenue is where the restaurant (Notarishuys) is located. That house is in traditional style, nicely renovated. The restaurant has its own entrance and parking lot. Guests for the hotel enter through a gate at the back. A complete different approach : concrete, floor to ceiling glass, minimalist and warm at the same time. The ceilings are high, yet peaceful and safe the building is. The magnificent beech in the centre of the garden guarding us all. An ideal place to escape the worries of nowadays. Breakfast in the “old” part is a feast to enjoy leisurely. The only minor remark there is that my taste for background music is different from a lot of people probably. For me that had not the same high level of sophistication as the architecture, the quality of the food, the kindness of the service.
